Alright, another day another jam. Dunno why, but I've been feeling in a good mood music-wise! This one is a bit slower, wanted something a little more ambient tonight. Had a really long day, kinda hurt my hand doing vinyl stapling for some restaurant benches. Also didn't get food till like 3 in the afternoon so have had a headache most of the day.

Anyways, this is a lot of synths! Pretty much all of the ones I've got hooked up save for the Matrix 6 and MKS50/TX81z. Neat!

Bistro

Alright, just something dumb and easy for testing out the Solina SE-IV. What a cool string synth, this thing sounds amazing! Though it weighs an absolute ton holy moly.

Drums are RD-8 through a BOSS RX-100 spring verb, bass is TD-3 through BOSS RCL-10 comp/limiter and Eletra EP-100 BBD, and finally strings are Solina through T-Rex Replicator. Recorded on my Tascam 246!

Eminent Namespace

Alright! So I got an Analog Rytm mk1, and it's basically the bee's knees. I spent like an hour or so getting to know it, then spent another hour making this little track. It's just 16 steps with conditional triggers, and some live mute/unmuting. I haven't learned the deeper stuff like songs and chains and all that, and I didn't want to mess around with more than just 16 steps so I made something fairly simple.

But this is all Rytm! I recorded it to my 246 with NR on at higher speed, then did some slight comp/drive/limit in DAW as I usually do, though not as heavy handed this time. I gotta learn to tame the comp in the Rytm however, those kicks get kinda buzzy.

Dust

Alright, so here's another Rytm jam! My thing did a weird at two points and cut the high out of the right channel for some reason, but whatever. Not a huge deal. Probably just hitting a bad spot on the tape or the mixer outs got bumped, probably that last one. Ech.

Anyways, this is all Rytm mk1 with 1.50a firmware. Just a few samples, mostly the analog engines.

I feel super sick tonight, so I made some music to keep my mind off things. Hopefully it's just something I ate or eating way too long after lunch or something. Maybe it was a migraine.

Oh well, this is the K1m on pads sequenced by the Keystep, then ran through the T-Rex Replicator and Avalanche Run (just verb). Then it's Rytm providing clock to the Keystep and bass/drums. I really like making wobbly basses on the Rytm btw, the dual vco is so cool!

Recorded to tape on my Tascam 246 at high speed with dbx NR on.
