Now 18 months into this amazing journey, the DJ in me is free again and the realisation that I produce to play live is sooooo cool, exciting and definitely a humbling learning journey!!
 A writer/ producer since Dec '23 after 22 yrs away, I'm once again exploring and celebrating my love of electronic music in all it's beautiful and diverse forms. I genuinely hope my inspirations and influences are reflected in my original tracks and that my remixes are a respectful representation of the originals and above all do them justice 🙏🎚️🎛️🎧 
I write mostly in one session as I love the rawness. (NO AI used)....I genuinely try to capture a moment, a feeling and 100 percent emotion.
 ........It's just sticking sounds together they said !!!!!............they were right, I'm finding the joy and learning is in making the sounds in whatever way fits the vibe!

Lukan is the behind-the-decks moniker of Nakul Mehan. Based in Mumbai, he also spearheads the India wide Oscillate party series. 

Following releases on Romanian imprint Eleonor Records, Lukan put out a string of Free Downloads that gained support from the likes of Posthuman, James Zabiela, Paco Osuna, Sidney Charles, Riva Starr, Moodymanc, Boxia, Kiss FM & Ibiza Sonica Radio. In 2017, Lukan's bootleg of Bonobo's 'Break Apart' was placed at no. 20 in XLR8R's Most Downloaded charts for the year. This was tailgated by well-received podcasts on respected platforms like Deep House London, Data Transmission, DMC World, When We Dip, Faze Magazine & Kaltblut Magazine(VICE). 

Having lined up an arsenal of records due for release in 2019, Lukan shifts his focus from the studio to the DJ booth. With recent performances in the Indian cities of Mumbai, Goa, Delhi, Pune, Bangalore, Nasik, Jaipur & Lucknow besides prior shows across the UK & Dubai, Lukan is fast becoming a force to be reckoned with.

Hi I'm Luke, I started DJing back in 1997 in Cardiff, just playing house parties and a few outdoor raves and local festivals, playing house, breaks, us garage & detroit house, hard house & drum n bass, jungle, after a few years a freind, DJ Sassi, asked me if i'd like to go to live in London start producing and DJing out, i had nothing to loose and nothing holding me back so i went and didn't look back, started playing in bars and clubs in west London (Ealing/Acton/willesden etc..) fell into the Antipodean scene and had an amazing time playing loads of house parties and meeting lots of awesome people. From that and working at Thames Valley University I met Stace: http://soundcloud.com/stace-1  who i proudly call my most cherished and treasured friend, and the whole cast and crew of Knowwhere, the best trance party in London! 

After almost 10 years in and around London i'm now back in Cardiff, i've not played out for quite a while now but i still love to play, just using a laptop at the moment but when i get some more time on my hands after a career change i plan to spend some money on a good pair of 1210s and some pioneer 1000s, i'd like to start playing out again so get in touch if you like my mixes.

I also sing and play guitar, i have posted a remix of 'Aint no sunshine, so if you are, or know a funk/soul band get in touch as i'm looking to do alot more.
