DJ Ruby es el artista underground de música de baile más prolífico surgido de la fiestera isla de Malta, con una enorme base de fans que le siguen incondicionalmente y un nombre consolidado en la industria mundial de la música de baile, principalmente en la escena progresiva. DJ Ruby, famoso por sus impecables sets y por ofrecer un ambiente de fiesta enérgico y positivo allá donde actúa, está considerado un auténtico pionero de su calibre, una persona trabajadora y modesta que siempre ha madurado con la escena. Cuenta ya con 30 años de experiencia, en los que ha obtenido innumerables logros y elogios imposibles de mencionar en unas pocas líneas.

DJ Ruby es responsable de haber sido una de las principales fuerzas que iniciaron y dieron forma a la escena musical dance de élite de Malta hasta convertirla en lo que es hoy. Durante muchos años, fue anfitrión de innumerables eventos bajo la marca Pure Promotions, marcando tendencias para varios conceptos de clubbing en la isla e introduciendo a múltiples generaciones en la música electrónica de baile.

Sus sets de vídeo en directo, streams, mezclas invitadas y la serie de mezclas Prog On con Proton tienden a hacerse virales al instante, recibiendo constantemente buenos comentarios de fans, clubbers y colegas artistas. Miles de personas le siguen en todas sus plataformas de redes sociales, lo que le convierte en una persona muy influyente en la escena.

Como promotor de eventos, en los últimos años ha conseguido que la escena del progressive house florezca de nuevo en Malta. Esto se debe principalmente a su evento anual en colaboración con Guy J, el concepto Secret Series, los espectáculos Open to Close y las fiestas periódicas Ruby&friends, en las que ya han actuado artistas tan respetados como Cid Inc, Stereo Underground, Jeremy Olander, Miss Monique, Subandrio, Golan Zocher y Emi Galvan.

Anton Dhouran lands on Soundgarden , with the uber cool Misty Mountain, after him first appearing on the label when he remixed Inhmost. His music has graced Diynamic, Einmusika and Chapter 24, proving his musical worth at the very highest level. '

Misty Mountain' is a sophisticated melodic voyage with a difference, where chill out meets a warm club vibes, with its half speed groove that works well in either situation, and will bring a breath of fresh air to the dance floor. Beautiful pads, luscious chords, that bubbling bass and all round goodness ooze from the tracks every pore. 

Anton Dhouran collaborates with Rafael Cerato next on the excellent 'Like Gilles Said'. A dramatic electronica slab of coolness, with a big smile inducing heart that glows as the vocals are wrapped up in blankets of warm pads, and a sumptuous vocal from Jonatan Bäckelie, while the skippy shoulder swaying groove makes this a fantastic end of night moment, but again can also be used in a more chilled set too. 

Ben Bohmer's re-interpreation takes on a four to the floor and refined melodious excursion, as tinkling keys meet sub bass, and merge wonderfully and emotively, before the vocal really raises the roof. A thing of beauty here.

For the final track of this remarkable EP we head far east for ‘Japan’. A much darker tale told by Daniele Aprile and Mario Roberti, this one firms our focus squarely on that lava-like bassline that morphs, mutates and melts throughout the track, taking us deeper and deeper into Fideles’ signature rabbit hole, to places unchartered.

This includes remastered versions of classic tracks like Dish Out Bum’s “Gak Trak” Chiapet’s “Tick Tock,” 2 Smokin’ Barrels’ “Basses Loaded,” and Timeline’s “Clockwork Orange,” as well as modern cuts like Victor Ruiz’s “Rollercoaster,” ANNA’s “Momentum,” Nicole Moudaber’s seminal remix of Alcatraz’s “Give Me Luv”, and Loco & Jam and Frankyeffe’s “Splitting Minds.” To spice things up, we’ve included three brand new remixes from Moonwalk, label regular Olivier Giacomotto, and Dubspeeka. Moonwalk takes on Phil Kieran’s “I Love You,” creating a deep mix that emphasizes the Italian duo’s knack for catchy, earworm synth patterns and hold-your-breath build-ups that deliver in the club. Olivier takes on one of the earliest entries in the Yoshitoshi catalogue, Hani’s “Irieheaven,” flipping the originally squelchy 303 tune into one of his bold, signature hands-in-the-air techno anthems. Dubspeeka remixes Sharam’s classic from 2009 “Secret Parkway,” turning the track into a moody late-night warehouse banger complete with spooky synths and gobs of low end. Following up the deep and uplifting Yoshitoshi 25: House compilation, the Techno edition takes you to the other side of the coin and once again demonstrates the label’s diverse history and versatility. Dan Baseley aka Orsen returns to Replug Records for a much anticipated follow-up to his ‘Driftwood’ EP. Having gotten 2019 underway with a well received remix of Antrim’s ‘Trip To Red’, the UK born, Austria based artist rounded out the summer season with a contribution to Hernan Cattaneo’s Beatport #1 Balance compilation. Most recently and perhaps the year’s highlight thus far was Dan’s ‘Ten’ collaboration with Replug boss Cid Inc. Regarded as one of 2019’s most sought after tracks, the joint production went on to top Beatport’s Progressive House singles chart and remains a favourite of the genre’s premiere tastemakers. Now returning to Replug for his first original project in over a year, Orsen presents his ‘Falling In’ artist showcase. 

Comprised of two tracks it's the peak time sensibility of the title cut which gets the EP underway. Sonically charged, it's rippling low end and buzzing rhythms converge in a ball of pulsating energy. The first act evolves with a veteran’s savvy, building waves of momentum as piercing stabs and vivid tones add to its fiery drive. Putting emotion at a premium, the narrative shifts as cascading motifs take centre stage during the main break, sitting atop melodious bass swells, before a nostalgic roll sparks a commanding drop and euphoric finale.

The 72nd release on Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital features iconic French producer, Rafael Cerato, joined by a trio of collaborators from the UK and Germany on "Mysteries of Life" and "Naive". 

An artist with a portfolio of appearances on leading House and Techno imprints, from Suara and Get Physical to Stil Vor Talent and Diynamic, Rafael Cerato has found himself firmly in the upper echelons of the underground dance movement.  Supported by a veritable smorgasbord of leading tastemakers and DJs including Stephan Bodzin, Maceo Plex, and Solomun, Cerato's own performances behind the decks have seen him mesmerize dancefloors with cutting edge and immaculately blended soundscapes at the likes of Kater Blau in Berlin, La Terrazzaa in Barcelona, Villa Rouge in Montpellier, and many more. 

Joining forces with vocalist Jinadu on "Mysteries of Life", the London based artist's eclectic musical tastes have seen him capture the attentions of Defected, Einmusika, and Steve Bug's Poker Flat Recordings with his charismatic vocal flair.  An offbeat clap rolls across the rhythmic framework accompanied by rapid-fire shakers and heavy percussion.  A hypnotizing arpeggio then provides melodic interest that builds post-breakdown to momentous proportions while Jinadu's mellifluous tones and loquacious phrases create a track that rises head and shoulders above the crowd in a woven tapestry of talent and craftsmanship. 

"Naive" continues the vocal narrative of its predecessor as Aves Volare provides a stunning contribution.  A regular on the likes of Stil Vor Talent, Einmusika, and Katermukke, the German artist is at the vanguard of the Progressive and Melodic Techno movement with his vocal and production talent.  Redolent in textured pads, emotive arpeggiated sequence, and a devastating bassline progression, "Naive" blossoms with Aves Volare's coruscating vocal patterns in the breakdown before emerging seamlessly in the second half with full verse.  A driving beat and shaker-fueled percussive line provides a club-friendly rhythmic bed in a track that is sure to find success across global dancefloors.
