Founder of Brussels based NORITE Label, Foreign Material has released here an spectacular drone journey where the listener gets taken away by his very well know deep baselines and groove drums.

Hello everyone, it's Tuesday again, and we warmly welcome you back for a new Episode of the Blendet Series.

We having hot weeks behind us. Wonderful energetic weeks, full of Music, Dance and connections. Summer, treating us at its best. It was basically not raining for 5 weeks until last Sunday and when the first rain drops hit the ground it felt like the Nature around, been singing loudly, out of blissfulness. 

In episode 05 we are warmly welcome our next Guest "Makgun". 

Makgun, Based in Brussels, released his first mix around 8 years ago and has been since an constant creator of very detailed and diverse mixes of spectacular electronic Music productions. The ability to drive true emotions and bring the energy to peak points and back, to calmness and deep diving energies is one of the highest art-form of Djing. And Makgun does it Mix for mix.

Makgun choose for his interpretation the Album "Motormouth Variations" from 2 Masterminds of Techno, Rrose x Bob Ostertag. 

The Album was Released in July 2011 on Sandwell District as an 2 x Vinyl LP.

Before we start, some words from Makgun, about Motormouth Variations.

"The reason why I chose this album in particular: My admiration for Marcel Duchamp / Rose Selavy and Rrose / Seth Horvitz. Seth Horvitz's main profession is cognitive science and my interest in this science is another reason. For me, Rrose is the best person who can express visual art with musical language."

Our deepest admiration goes to Rrose x Bob Ostertag for there timeless sound expressions. 

And, big big thanks, direction Brussels to Makgun, for the wonderful Album interpretation of Motormouth Variations!

First of all, Axymt. is a vinyl collector. His curation mainly oscillate between ambient and deep techno. From Lyon, it’s with passion for hypnotic rhythms and patterns that he creates his sets. Member of several collectives such as Monochrome association, Ouroboros or atmòs sphaîra, Axymt. is well known for his ability to create an
immersive atmosphere during his performances. He always looking for create a ritual for listeners, using his music to guide them on a deep inner journey.

Anagram of Bastid, his name, Distab is a vinyl enthusiast. 
A member of the Monochrome collective, his sets reflect the many influences that punctuate his surroundings, all with a desire to evolve towards a lyrical soundscape. More recently, he has been involved in the Ouroboros project.

Axymt & Distab, Solstice Celebration Mix.

Set realizado para el festival Geopark Lights 2023, en el Geoparque de Granada, el 13-10-2023. Un set de ambient que recorre varios estilos para una transición entre los directos de las italianas Ilaria Degradi y Ginevra Nervi,  inaugurando el festival, viernes al anochecer, en una sección dedicada a los "Sonidos para la Acequia del Toril".
