"This record is very special to us and brings us back to our childhood on the Moshav, and reconnects us to those very special Shabbat's with Reb Shlomo in the small shull packed with family & Chevra singing and dancing late into the Friday nights. Duvid & I recorded this CD at our home studio here in Los Angeles and tried to give it a very raw vibe, kind of like we're all just hanging out again and jamming on the Moshav.

The graphic on the CD is also a very simple drawing by our Moshav artist/friend Yitzchak Ben Yehuda of the early days on Moshav Mevo Modi'in which again brings us back to those special times when and where it all started. We hope you'll all enjoy it as much as we did while making it".

Fortuna Records reissues a double banger by Aris San, the absolute don of the 'Greek Jaffa sound'.
"Boumpam" was released in 1967 becoming an instant hit nation-wide. The track ignited the 'Greek Craze' which would dominate Israeli taverns for nearly a decade. Replacing bouzoukis with electric guitars, San gave Greek music a psychedelic edge making it popular with the in-crowd of swinging Tel Aviv. On the flipside, his 1972 tune "Dam Dam" is an equally infectious, ouzo fueled, dancefloor saga, demonstrating the absolute best of San's unique and influential style.

Quarter To Africa (Q2A) is an uplifting Ethno-Jazzfunk ensemble.

combining electric Oud grooves, Saxophone, trumpet, African percussion, guitar, bass, drums, synthesizer and vocals.

All this fused into a unique sound and groove to a show that will make involuntary movement of the hips.

In the past few years, Quarter to Africa has performed across the world spreading their message while headlining many festivals and major events, such as SZIGET festival (HUN), RedSea Jazz festival, Jarasum festival (s. Korea), Magic festival (Japan), GWMF Gibraltar ,Spirit of Tengri (KZ), TLV Jazz festival, Austria world Festival and many more.

Q2A Collaborated with top artists as Ester Rada, Reef Cohen, Yossi Fine, Shay ben tzur, and Avishai Cohen (as his official band for “1970” project and world tour).
