Named after his late grandfather Birendra Nath Bose, "Biren" is Kami-O's first full length project and 2nd self release, after 2020s "Hara EP".

Musically, the album is an exploration of his Indian heritage, taking inspiration from various forms of traditional Indian music and combining them with his usual 140bpm style.

Starting out as an EP, the project quickly developed into a longer form concept as more ideas came to mind. To complete the project, an artwork was made by his mother and Anglo-Indian artist Helen Bose as a visual complement to the music.

Parule taps in with a five-track EP that explores different tempos and ventures into new sonic territories while maintaining some of his signature elements.

Stoned Squirrel opens the EP with a slow, head-nodding groove driven by a filtered acid hook and rattling percussions.

Off Shore follows as a stripped-back roller, evoking a hypnotic, submerged atmosphere.
Chants nods to Parule’s earlier work—fast-paced electro that dances between breakbeats and squelching acid lines.

Laufbahn is stripped down, raw and agonizing. Like running in circles with a broken foot.
Fujiyama pushes into the 160 BPM realm, weaving in lyrics and vocal textures from ŽEN's "Lov na crne tipke", a track Parule obsessed over throughout the past year.
