Heir summons you. Hastur whispers in half-light. Barca trembles at the fringe of the lamp’s glow.

From Root Rot, Raiment, & Revelry comes "Lampshade", a Hauntcore invocation in moth wing and moonbone. Acoustic strings bleed into warped synth undertones. Ghost harmonies cling like cold breath. Heir’s voice, fragile as desiccated leaves, tells of a Piper not of man who taught me tune and lured me in light so bright my voice went weak. Hastur holds shadows; Barca watches as the lamp becomes a trap and a lantern alike.

You will feel your hands grow pale. You will hear humming in the corners of silence. You will tremble for the tune. I call out to all moths: follow light, follow hum, follow me.

For fans of dark emo-trap, swancore, folk-punk undercurrents, ghostcore ambience, haunting vocals, acoustic reverie, and synth sorrow. If you wander this path, have your pulse in your throat. Let the glow guide you.

CARR didn’t move to LA to pursue a career in music, but rather fell into it after taking a night  job at a studio to pay the bills. When there was unbooked time in a room, she and friends would take advantage and mess around with the boards for fun. 

CARR had already begun to make a name for herself before being introduced to punk luminaries Pete Wentz (Fall Out Boy) and Spencer Smith (Panic! At The Disco) who signed her to their label DCD2 Records. CARR was named one of Alt Press’ Artists To Watch who described her music as “exactly the kinds of songs you want to sing/scream along to into your hairbrush-microphone in your bedroom.” Her songs have found a home on KCRW and Jack Saudner’s BBC Radio 1 show, while Ones To Watch praised her “indisputable talent” and “brutally honest” lyricism. Simultaneously leaving nothing and everything to the imagination. 

Now, in 2025, CARR steps into a new era—still laced with her signature sarcasm and bite, but with fresh edges and unexpected turns. Stay tuned.
