Passer is a non-binary DJ and activist, running nights and events and fighting fascism, sometimes simultaneously. Their DJ collective GLAMTIFA seeks to bring the politics back into queer clubbing, and in their mixes they blend sounds from around the globe, instructed by their experience studying music and running the radio at SOAS, with dancefloor fillers and underground sounds, old and new. Passer co-runs and does all the sound tech for Queer House Party and is awaiting official sponsorship from Loopback.

1441 is a French Dj based in Rennes, France who's techno music is full of acid and indus vibes spiced up by breakbeat style. Inspired by the 90's techno stage as well as modern day rave scenes, he mixes influences from Detroit to Berlin with hops in Chicago and UK to create a whole universe of his own.

The origins of this record may be traced back to 1992. Attempting his very first guitar riffs at a birthday party, a young Jorge Loura is approached by a young Hugo Branco, who abruptly asks him if he can play Metallica. Jorge stares at the void. Hugo turns his back and leaves the room. Back to 2021, an older Jorge Loura is approached by an older Hugo Branco, who abruptly invites him to co-curate a compilation of unlikely collaborations between music projects from Aveiro. Both stare at the void and neither leaves the room. Ever.

Drawing its name from Vasco Branco's 1968 short film, Rajada is a subjective sonic portrayal of the current music scene in Aveiro —the coastal and windy Portuguese town chosen by VIC NIC as its main base of operations. Beyond a mere collection of songs, the collaborative angle of the project encouraged the invited artists to step outside their comfort zones and to adopt co-creation as a genre and boundary transcending tool.

The commitment and hard work of all the artists, thinkers and technicians involved in this experiment resulted in a rich sonic archive that manages to cut through genres such as rock, folk, electronica, jazz and experimental, ultimately bringing together 25 talented musicians and illustrating the fresh diversity of Aveiro's contemporary music scene.

This is the vinyl edition of the Produto Interno Bruto series.

Produto Interno Bruto (portuguese for “Gross Domestic Product”), one of the label’s most defining documents to date. An unbounded, eclectic and ambitious project that sounds and feels like a collaborative album that was compiled and mastered by label head Ka§par.

In the presented vinyl edition, it includes tracks from the two previously released volumes of the series and even adds some exclusive content. The compilation praises the music made by underground portuguese artists by contrasting it with that of a few solid international producers, close to the label’s inner circle.

The purchase of this double 12" vinyl allows for the digital download of both PIB I and II and a bonus EP. This makes the purchase attractive and the package valuable. It also allows the listener to know more artists than those featured on the vinyl that are no less deserving of praise. A must have, crafted with care and truth in mind.
