For this installment we've invited London based artist Fairground of Tears to take you on a menacing journey through the darkest realms of industrial/ebm techno.

Fairground of Tears is an artistic concept run by Piotr Sledzinski. A concept that is categorised by the darker, industrial and more energetic tones of the techno genre.

Piotr has experimented with electronic music of all colours partly through his former alias and alternative electronica project Ne Plus Ultra along with an involvement in the Passive Front Records imprint. This wide ranging experience and hunt for expression ultimately leads itself to the Fairground of Tears concept and Exiled event series. The latter playing host to Melania, Operant, Violet Poison, Codex Empire, Inhalt Der Nacht to name a few and establishing itself as a premier and forward thinking events series. 

In that very same vein his own sets and productions are not bound by any specific style. Consequently an eclectic mixture of dense industrial textures and atmospheres as well as electronic body music can be expected in his mixes and productions.

ISSXI reaches its tenth instalment with ISSXI.X | EP10. Label head Positive Centre teams up with Tullia Benedicta for a trip into their combined subconscious for their track Posture. Ireen Amnes turns rolling percussion through a mangle and reflects back into the track Hypochondriac. Go Hiyama lifts the top and exposes the chaos beneath with the track Byte Reminiscence. Stephanie Sykes brings the EP to a close with a deft touch in the landscape of Mjøsa.

End Train has been heavily involved in the free parties scene for years, playing 250+ bpm distorted hardcore industrial during timeless sets. With time, an almost innate passion for techno built up and shaped the artist’s own vision. “There is something about abandoned factories that connects with people in a deep, tribal and guttural manner. Techno encapsulate the essence of this connection by helping cold machines create their own soul that in turn, connects to humans”.
