A more stripped back, lighter and more melodic piece I wrote purely for guitars. There are spanish flavours mixed with traditional folk sounds, enjoy!

JPJ - "Man's Best Friend" (instrumental)

Here I have taken two lamentations from the Lord of the Rings soundtrack, one which can be heard during the death of Haldir in The Two Towers as part of the "Isengard Unleashed" track, and one that is heard in Lothlorien following Gandalf's death in The Fellowship of the Ring and is part of the "Lothlorien" track. 
This is one of the greatest soundtracks of all time, and in particular the ethereal, choral themes Shore devised for the Elves are often overlooked, but they never fail to send shivers down my spine. I experimented with long and irregular bars, bi-rhythms and polyphony in order to mimic the free-flowing atmosphere of the original pieces whilst maintaining some sort of constant rhythm. Enjoy!
