I started my musical journey from a very young age, from listening to my father playing his sound system( Sugar Downbeat). From the age of 15 I helped to carry the speaker boxes then later on progressed to setting up the sound system with the many dominoes excursion up north against other sound systems. Ska, rocksteady & reggae was the order of the day.

I remember my weekend journey to a record shop in Stamford Hill Rita & Benny (R&B Records) where I would watch my father be handed a pile of 7”. I played music with my father at a shubeen in Stamford Hill from Friday night through to Sunday, the wonderful miss P, here is where I learned my selecting skills. My highlight is working for the late great Tony Williams on Rhythm 365, he gave me great advice on presenting.

Dj Artis Started dj'ing in 89 with oldskool house, moved through the years witch bought me into the hardcore scene, then moved on to jungle and drum & bass, then took a move of genre and started mixing reggae witch was the 1st genre of music I ever started collecting, then moved back over to drum and bass / jungle, then became a member of the House Chimps and went back to house, then back to drum and bass / jungle and hardcore breaks, now I play whatever takes my fancy at that moment in time, played at OMG Bexley, Ministry of sound London , Squeeze in Brighton, Squeezed in wymoth, Flava stevenage, played on chaoz fm, impact fm, storm fm, sunrise fm, drift fm, danger fm, London Pirate Radio and SelectUk. Now i play every other Sunday 16:00-18:00 back on Sunrise FM.
