Coming from the new wave of Romanian electronic music, Gruia is a Bucharest based producer and DJ mainly influenced by his traditional and contemporary musical background.

Starting his activity back in 2006, Gruia has built a substantial discography with releases on major labels such as VIVa MUSiC, Trapez, Clarisse or Circus Recordings and a frequent presence in relevant electronic music charts based on tracks like ‘The Ritual’ or ‘No More Drama’.

Over the years, Gruia’s sound has steadily evolved into a more refined and focused blend of subtle textures and intricate grooves. Exploring his recent musical endeavors, you will undoubtedly come across interesting and sometimes unexpected soundscapes always underlined by infectious rhythm sections. His latest remixes are evidence of this aesthetic transformation and his new ‘Some Kind Of Heaven’ EP released exclusively on vinyl by Sonet Music is the perfect showcase of Gruia’s vision in the present.

Having established herself as a true rising talent of the UK underground, Reeshy has grown to become a staple of the festival and club circuit at home and abroad. She is regularly called upon to provide the heat for the likes of FUSE, Hide & Seek Festival, Gottwood Festival, Little Fields, The Warehouse Project, as well as weekly manoeuvres around the UK’s top clubs. As well as her name being on the lips of promoters across the land, this Northern lass is also beginning to stamp her name on the minds of label owners with a clutch of releases on Pilot, Mindhelmet, and a slew of imminent releases.

It would be an understatement to say we are thrilled to welcome Reeshy to our InSession series, as she has been more than proving her mettle for time now. For this rather poignant edition, we present the live recording from her set at the Imaginarium in Leeds before it was forced to sadly close its doors by Leeds council. Taking charge with a heady mix of lush breaks, garage, moody house gems, and bass-fueled bombs, Reeshy never lets the vibes drop below boiling point. She proves exactly why she is in such high demand.

US artist Danny Daze, out of Miami, has long been affiliated with the more electronic side of dance music. From the early days in the electro scene and more abstract forms of techno, the Omnidisc boss has covered a lot of musical ground since then. Helping to reimagine the underground landscape, Danny was pivotal in the early 2010s club sound with releases on Hot Creations, Ellum Audio, and Kompakt. He soon turned his attention back to the obscure side of the dancefloor and IDM. As much a music lover and dancer as he is an artist, he knows exactly what works on the dancefloor and his recent album “::BLUE::” on his own Omnidisc imprint exemplifies this ethos. Having hosted us back in June when we rolled into Hanoi with Brasi, we needed to know more about this meticulous selector. Established himself as resident DJ at the cities Savage club, Zwi is the driving force at one of regions finest beat emporiums and has warmed up for a wide spectrum of artists that have recently included Mr. Ho, Loa Szala, nd_baumecker, Phase Fatale, Vithz, and Lamalice. As well as his continued work with Savage, Zwi also runs his own project METRØ which celebrated turning the ripe old age of six back in May. 

This diverse musical palette has led the Hanoi based Zwi to become a go to artist in the region and has massively informed his all encompassing sound. This is perfectly exhibited on his InSession for us where he moves from moody broken after hour beats through to deeper shades of house, and then through to more upfront cuts but always keeping that groove and funk strong throughout. Zwi proves that even in the far reaches of the underground there are fantastic artists and undiscovered musical gems to be found.
