Unity Gathering 2024 - AUDIOSYNTAX LIVE (Part1)

HWJ Weekend Challenge - Rebirth/Celebration of Spring : having spent countless hours in the mid 90's glued to an old PC trying to learn Rebirth, this is my pilgrimage to where making electronic music started for me. This software taught me sequencing, programming, song structure and so much more. Given the limitations of Rebirth, there's two 303s, an 808 and 909 (with a cheeky throwback using the string sample from one of the many Rebirth Mods/Reskins), and delay and distortion as the original software had. For this I used the x0xb0x, primarily 909 drums in the MPC One, a 303-ish patch on the XL7 for the second 303 and a tuned 808 kick drum for the bassline coming from the Live 3.

.Creating REDUX. 
After succeeding to produce a series of tracks, it turned out that even further reduction could have appealing results. In the following steps, all mixes were further slowed down and the most typical psytrance elements, such as fm leads, got removed and replaced with delay based grooves as they are common in techno music.
