Beginning with his roots in the seminal D.C. and NY hardcore scenes and evolving into his current guise as a turntable terrorist, Thee Joker has always been a champion of aggressive, bass-driven sounds. It was at his cousin's suggestion that he "always played people the best part of the song" that Thee Joker, with the help of renowned house DJ Chris Bjork, released his first vinyl for the public at NYC's famed Webster Hall.

As part of the music/performance art group Master IT, Thee Joker performed at such hallowed venues as Limelight, The Tunnel, Sound Factory, Webster Hall, Esso, and Cafe Con Leche during the rise of electronic music in NYC. Through these shows, he received the opportunity to travel to Berlin and perform at the legendary Love Parade in 1995 alongside the infamous Armand Van Helden, Josh Wink, and Supa DJ Dimitri. While appreciating the house and techno sound of New York at events like N.A.S.A and Save the Robots, Thee Joker developed a resonance with Jungle and DnB through Liquid Sky and its basement jewel, Temple Records. He further honed this sound with the encouragement of Giant Step & Junglenut DJ Lion in the dimly lit bars of lower Manhattan.

In 1998, Thee Joker was invited to perform in Vienna, Austria. Attracted by the change of scene and the open minds and arms with which he was received, he decided to move to Vienna full-time to continue his music career. While living in Vienna, Thee Joker traveled extensively, performing in Austria, Germany, Czechoslovakia, and Italy, both solo and as part of the DJ crew Th3 G4ng. Their weekly five-hour radio shows on FM4 showcased the talents of six DJs and multiple genres. Soon thereafter, he was invited to Cologne, Germany, by Dr. Walker of Air Liquide and became part of the Liquid Sky posse, continuing the lineage that began in NYC with his association with Liquid Sky and Temple Records. Before leaving Austria, Thee Joker's vinyl releases began with his inclusion on Berlin-based Pharma Records' "Its Pharma Time" alongside Jammin' Unit of Air Liquide, Bad Street Boy, and DMX Krew. After several releases on Cologne-based Hotel Lotte and Harvest Records compilations, Thee Joker, as part of Reissdorf Force, released the full-length album "Smart Dust" for EMI Records.

Upon returning to the US, Thee Joker and Chase Dobson (c.db.sn) formed f(x):function as a vehicle for their twisted brand of live EDM, which they dubbed "Machine Funk Decimation." This project culminated in the full-length album "Sketching Pieces of Scattered Silence," which included a wide swath of their IDM/Electro/Hip-Hop/techno sound and even a one-off "Live" DnB performance. Continuing to perform live and DJ in the Tampa area since its release, Thee Joker began searching for alternatives to the watered-down sound being played all around him. Returning to his turntablist roots in DnB and Hip Hop, he steadily began pushing a more bass-heavy sound with broken beat and 2-step as an antidote to house and breaks, including many of these tracks on his mix CD "Smooshed."

Never abandoning his interest in the dark and grittier side of Hip Hop, he continued to collect raw tracks from the UK's Grime scene and its evolution into Half Step, 2 Step, and futuristic DnB.

Violet Skies has re-submerged after sometime of hiding, and is now writing brand new material.

Violet Skies began in 2007 when friends Samuel-Elexis and Fresh Harper began making music together, they shared a disgust for mainstream and love of experimenting across genres.

Fresh had drummed from a young age and was skilled in dance breakbeats. Samuel-Elexis was a skilled pianist with an interest in electronics.

They self recorded and produced they're debut release 'Dark Harvest', a 7 track EP. It was mastered by an outside source who was never credited. It was originally independently released on cassette and became popular in the Australian underground music scene. It was later rereleased on cassette and CD on the indie label "Velvet Sky" (co-founded by Samuel-Elexis and Starr Heartly).

Violet Skies toured the east coast of Australia and New Zealand for the following year following their underground success of Dark Harvest, playing at House Parties and warehouses.

The subsequent year Violet Skies were asked to tour the US with Crystal Palace who had underground success with their 2nd Album "Dawn". They scored a second support tour with "Status Death" whom they met in Portland whilst touring with Crystal Palace.

In late 2008 the band went on hiatus when Samuel-Elexis decided to stay in L.A. where he was given a residency at a cafe in Cali doing spoken word and poetry.

Upon his re-arrival to Australia and was reunited with Fresh and the duo were approached by Starr Heartly (Guitarist of Crystal Palace, who had just recently broke up). The three of them with bass player Jamie Pieson formed a new band, Toxic Blue, a simplistic rock band with tight Rhythms. Toxic Blue released one full length Album "Crisis" on Velvet Sky records but disbanded after only one tour.

Whilst on tour with Toxic Blue Samuel had started work on a new Violet Skies release to follow the success Dark Harvest obtained three years earlier. In mid 2010 the single "Fuck Me" was released on 7" with B side "metal", the toured Austrlia and New Zealand again after this release and had mixed responses. These tracks were later remastered and released on a four track EP with two new tracks. This release became popular in the underground scene in Portland and Seattle. With this success Violet Skies were again asked to tour with Status Death.

On the back of this tour they were offered to tour France with Déchirement, However Fresh decided to stay in Portland when Status Death offered him a position in the band when their drummer left because of "creative differences".

Samuel played the tour as a solo artist, still preforming under Violet Skies, he spent the next year in Paris where he produced Déchirement's latest album. In recent time Samuel-Elexis has returned to Australia and is currently living in Newtown where he is working on the newest Violet Skies release.

The origins of Kevin Follet, multi-instrumentalist and experimental electronic artist, have
their roots in the Verona (ITA) area. The seed was planted back in 1992 with the first
experiences in the electronic music world but its path has been the most varied and
complex:
first DJ, then producer, drummer, keyboard player, sound designer and only recently also
"builder" of electroacoustic instruments.
His music can be defined as "crepuscular", the dark and obscure tones are predominant in
his compositions, with connotations between the delicate, the abrasive and the infected.
A fundamental characteristic of KF is the reluctance to restrictions, to be able to freely
explore the sound panoramas without any preconception or direction of any sort is
fundamental for him. His compositional approach is in fact visceral, at times mystical and
archaic, not influenced by aesthetic canons and predefined goals. The unknown has
always had a strong influence on his music as well as all that is unusual and out of the
ordinary.
The immense curiosity, the scientific imprinting and the transversality of his knowledge,
allowed him to generate a wide range of sound experiences, below a list of the
fundamental stages of the artistic path of KF:
In 1997 he released his first self-produced album titled "Harvest People", following a long
series of productions including EDM, IDM, breaks, ambient and pure experimentation.
From 2003 he started a live Trip Hop project "Bristol Style" with his singer friend Iris
FreeForm and under the supervision of DJ Afghan, titled "Dark Inc".
In 2008 he decided to collaborate with his drummer friend ElectroJJ in the EDM live project
"Toxic Music".
Since 2010, together with DJ T, Marco Novalis, ElectroJJ, djzood and Davide Zambelli, he
has conducted his own independent label called "Drummond Records".
Also in 2010 he accepted to play drums in a Ramones tribute band called "Cavrones".
In 2011 he prints his first vinyl "Letter A" for the Drummond Records label.
From 2014 he takes part, as a keyboard player / rumorist, to a Post Metal project called
"WOWS".
In 2015 he actively participated in the organization of the "Drummond Gate Festival", a
review curated by the Drummond Records label.
In 2016 he made his first electroacoustic instrument called "The Thing", to follow others
like "Springophone", "SpringBox" and "StringBox".
In 2017 he signs with the German label Blue Tunes Chillout for the release of two releases
"Just A Scratch On The Surface" and "Viscera".

NADA DEVA is Edmonton-based Producer/DJ couple Jen and Francesco. Known for their contagious and high energy sets, they will take you on a compelling journey through sound. Their signature flavors of Tech Bass, Bass House, and next-level sounds will make you rock the f*ck out.
