Release Info: 
As we draw the curtains of time on 2018 and reflect on the year, we think about the highs and lows, good and bad. Here at Sprout, we figured there was just enough time to get just one more debut in before the years' end, and what a debut it is. Fat Sushi is a bit of a legend around these parts, signed to a bewildering selection of labels including Suara, Great Stuff, Cold Harbour and Nutura Sonoris, their trademark funky style is an assured crowd pleaser and ‘Tripod’ is no exception. Remixes come from ZAC and D-Nox & Spuri. 

The original mix is a lively House groove underpinned by a gargantuan bassline and some nifty synth work. Muscular and musical in equal measures, this is the kind of track that grows on you every time you hear it. D-Nox and Spuri opt to intensify the groove edging it toward a crossover tech sound for those tough late night floors that need a little meat on their bones. Equally, ZAC takes things tougher and works hard on the low end flavours to deliver a funky, powerful re-imagination.

Booka Shade deliver their Rosebud EP for John Digweeds Bedrock imprint this November, featuring three new original tracks from the Berlin duo.

Blaufield Music founders Booka Shade have long been respected figures in the contemporary electronic music scene having racked up a handful of crossover cuts amongst their regular output aimed towards more underground realms. Here we see them focusing on the latter with a new EP for the esteemed Bedrock label, headed up by John Digweed and home to material from the likes of Guy Gerber, Guy J, Eagles & Butterflies and of course the label founder himself.

Booka Shade : "We have been extremely fortunate in our careers having our music released on many revered and renowned labels. We are particularly humbled and proud to have DJ legend John Digweed pick three of our tracks for a release on Bedrock."

Title-track Rosebud leads with an amalgamation of dark and brooding bass tones, percussive chimes and a bubbling arpeggio lead at its core whilst ethereal voices and resonant leads ebb and flow within.

Lust 2.1 follows with the focus on tension building atmospherics, metallic percussive rolls echoing vocal chops before marimba like synth tones and chugging arpeggios take the spotlight to tail out the composition.

In Velvet then rounds out the package with elongated subs, sweeping atmospherics and a choppy synth sequence all dynamically evolving and unfolding around an organic drum groove driving the composition.

8 Bit Eclipse was the penultimate track on Quivver's 2018 ReKonstruct album, that won the hearts and mind of many. Now here's your chance to remix it!

Quivver - 8 Bit Eclipse (Original Mix) Taken From ReKonstruct Album

Known throughout clubland for his formidable deep and techy stylings behind the decks, Sonny Fodera returns to his Solotoko imprint with a new house gem, 'Somebody New'.

Teaming up with Fodera to deliver the track's classicly styled house vocals is the impactful singer, ShezAr. Driven by a grooving bassline and solid drum work, the dancefloor weapon is proof as to why Sonny Fodera continues to be one of the biggest draws in the world of house.

All Day I Dream's Gab Rhome @gabrhome and Bondage Music's Mark Alow @mark-alow come together to deliver their playa-flavoured deep house cut 'Bob Fossil' to the 'Sounds Of Sirin' compilation via Berlin's renowned Bar 25 imprint.

With a chugging bass line, steady and crisp rhythm and an ethereal motif, the new ballad is primed for instilling a hypnotic vibe on the dancefloor. The collaboration is undoubtedly a perfect match, as it fuses Gab's melodic touch with Mark's dubby house edge. The subtle brilliance is on full display here.
