Combining for their collaborative debut on Bombstrikes, Dubra and PM2THEAM have delivered an exquisite single in the form of 'Magic'. Already well established as a producer of considerable skills, Dubra is no stranger to the label. Here he is joined by fellow Latvian turntablist PM2THEAM and the result is a creative synergy that leaves us excited to hear what this duo has in store.



As a sublime debut, 'Magic' finds its sonic home in the emotive laden sound design, infectious vocal cuts with Strings, and a 4/4 rhythm ensuring that the track does that rarest of things, combing musical depth with dance floor energy. It feels like this could be the start of something special for the duo.

This library has 730MB of over 250 sounds that were made in a closed restaurant, where Basement Freaks exploded into action, hitting any surface that was available to get the most incredible, and unique sounds. Pans, pots, glasses, counters, ovens and countless other kitchen utensils were recorded and then processed into various loops and one-shots. Including captivating sound effects, resonating Bells, driving Drums, and of course Basement Freak’s specialty, Percussion.

Every sound was recorded using an AKG 314 Mic through Cubase 11 on a Steinberg audiocard @ 96khz. Utilizing professional sound processors, including; Elektron Analog Heat; Chandler Tube Driver (80es Tube overdrive Unit); EarthQuaker Devices, ‘Data Corrupter’, an analog Harmonizing PPL Synth; and some famous Stomps as Ottobit Crush, Ibanez Tube Screamer, RAT, and ELX Big Muff.

Quoth the Raver (Mark) started teaching me the basics of DJing just about 4 months ago leading up to last Friday where we performed this mix together live for my first ever show. This entire process was crazy fun for us, from the start of our set planning to seeing so many smiling faces in the club. 

Shoutouts to codex_collective, Vue, and especially tel0sity for throwing an absolute banger of a Palentine’s day party. We’re incredibly grateful to all our friends for coming out to support, bringing the energy, and dancing to every track with us.
