A 2-track EP of infectious groove, the A side comes from Tim 2T, a budding producer from Lille who offers up one stonker of a track reminiscent of New York’s Sound Factory circa 1993. Perfectly epitomising the Mona Musique sound, ‘Rue 32’ was the most requested track ID on Nick V’s Boiler Room session earlier this year and firmly cements Tim as one to watch.

On the flip side is ‘Drifting Away’ from @Hugo-LX, Parisian Hip Hop beat maker who has recently turned his hand to House, to great effect, under the guidance of Mona Musique’s founder @NickV. Having already released on Chez Damier’s Courtesy of Balance this year, as well as production for Homeboy Sandman on Stones Throw, still to come is music on highly lauded label My Love Is Underground.

Mona Musique is the new imprint from Nick V, curator and resident DJ behind longstanding night Mona. First and foremost the vinyl-only label will be an embodiment of the Parisian parties that have been bringing together Voguers, Waackers and club dancers for 8 years, no less. Equally inspired by and paying homage to the hedonism of Deep House, vintage Garage and classic Disco, Nick has shared the decks with originators of the calibre of Mike Huckaby and DJ Deep, to exemplary contemporary selectors such as Jeremy Underground, to a fresh wave of old skool energy in the form of Gary Gritness and the D.KO records. 'Freedom in my hand/ A pigeon on the roof' Diynamic Music's newest release, a full self-titled album by Stimming, once again shows why this label's artists are some of the most renowned in the music scene. Pacing through the snowy sand; white beaches that leave marks behind every step; Seagulls chirping, and suddenly a steady bass appears as waves crash onto the beach. A dream-like state begins, and as the beat sets in, you are lost in the sounds of Stimming. His new album was born in this very state of mind, on the beaches of the Baltic Sea, during a 5-week retreat from reality in the winter of 2012. 'Stimming' is like a story, told by the maker and his music. Even without a direct storyline, listening to the album will leave you drifting off into another world, filled with extravagant characters and thoughts, New Release Information blossoming ideas and suspenseful moments. The contrast of traditional and modern, of colorful yet sinister, of the classical but still unheard compositions is the main focus of this album. These controversies are reflected in the album cover as well: bright waves surrounded by dark skies, a beautiful and enchanting cherry blossom placed upon two black, headless pigeons, bringing together elements that are not intended to be combined. These pigeons are the main theme of the track 'Die Taube auf dem Dach', a track that brings across the hope and dream of freedom. 'Naked feet walking on sand/Gently senses awake' The album's 3rd track 'Ferdinand ft. Urzula Amen' delivers driving basses, Spanish guitar sounds and beautiful vocals by singer Urzula Amen, that emerge into multi layered harmonies, accompanied by enchanting synthesizer sounds.

For years Robosonic have been building a reputation as DJs for murdering dancefloors worldwide – not only playing what they really feel, but also performing their own multidimensional electronic music. Together with the Adana Twins from Hamburg they made a hot new EP on 2DIY4.
