Gabi Bury to DJ-ka i promotorka z Bieszczad, obecnie mieszkająca w Krakowie. Inicjatorka projektu Fantasmagoria oraz rezydentka krakowskiego klubu Noce. Jej sety oscylują między przestrzennym, mrocznym, eksperymentalnym techno a szybkim, energetycznym groove'em. Występowała na jednej scenie z takimi artystami jak Błażej Malinowski, Raär czy Axel Karakasis. Gabi Bury zdobyła uznanie w polskiej scenie muzycznej, grając w klubach, takich jak Szpitalna 1, STK, Noce, Święta Krowa, Luzztro i Ciało.

SAMA presents UN_defined

UN_defined is a new series of releases on SAMA's label Maximalist_Minimalist. This sound is heavily focused on, but not limited to synthesis, harmony, atmospheric soundscapes and broken beat patterns. A more “free” approach to making music, leaving any preconceptions about who or what I should be as an artist at the door. For being undefined means to experience creative freedom. 
        
Having a defined sound as an artist is simultaneously incredibly important to grow a fanbase and the most restraining thing there can be for one’s creativity. UN_defined will be an outlet for whatever SAMA feels like or am inspired by in the future.

Out next Techno Minder Hero is Nijmegen’s rising techno dynamo and one half of the duo Hayat. From hip-hop roots to raw, hypnotic techno, he spins fast-paced grooves and razor-sharp rhythms that keep the floor moving. After smashing his set at the Intercell Indoor DJ Contest, he’s ready to push the local scene even deeper into the underground. Soma welcome LA based Alexander Kulikov for a special release on the label and he brings the deep and dubbed out ‘October Dreams Pt.1’. The self professed ‘Dub Techno enthusiast’ has been involved in various musical activities in his time but has began to focus more on the roots of his chosen sound throughout the last few years - bringing the traditional sound of Detroit & Berlin into his productions.

This release (part 1 of 2) sees him delving into deep sonic experiments with ethereal soundscapes and atmospheres set to a backdrop of psycho-acoustic noise and static with the faintest of percussive elements helping to keep the rhythm. The release also features a special remix from one of Detroit’s best kept secrets as DeepLabs boss, Luke Hess turns in a perfectly crafted, Detroit inspired version of Stream.

I played a 3.5-hour set of my own material at Afterflow to a packed crowd. It felt incredibly good to perform—there was a lovely vibe on the dancefloor, with smiles, glances, and grins exchanged between friends and strangers alike. The sound system was phenomenal. Two 18" L-Acoustics subs did the job beautifully in an intimate industrial venue in Helsinki.

As usual, I started with ambient textures, keeping the early energy calm and spacious. Later on, we opened things up with faster BPMs and a more driving intensity. Dark, trippy, textural, hypnotic techno—served as intended.
