TENO focuses on minimal and straight techno, meticulously building a groove with rhythmic and minimal tops and a deep, resonant low end. He passionately and stoically reproduces sound to create a fusion of music and body. His tracks leverage the analog sound of modular synthesizers and have been released on various labels worldwide, including Newrhythmic Records, Room Trax, DifferentSound, Balls Baile, MZR Records, and CommonSence Records.This year, TENO released an EP on the Spanish label Newrhythmic Records, known as a pioneer in the electronic music scene, becoming the first Japanese artist to do so. This release was featured in the international media magazine Vicious.Additionally,he founded the techno label Aum Recordings in Osaka and released his own EP, featuring a remix by the up-and-coming Munich-based artist Polygonia, generating significant buzz. His DJ sets have been broadcast live both domestically and internationally from SUPER DOMMUNE in Shibuya, Tokyo.In recent years, TENO has also contributed mixes to numerous podcasts. Romanian-born and Italian-based DJ, producer and label-head Ketch has carved out a distinctive space in the scene through his dark, texturised grooves laced with tribal, dub and acid elements. Ketch’s unique sound design creates a bridge between visceral energy and intricate soundscapes. Aside from crafting, Ketch co-founded labels SYXT (2018) and Glukkon Records (2019), having contributed to both labels with several of his own releases. Ketch has left his sonic imprint on Europe, having performed in cities such as Berlin, Amsterdam and Warsaw and will tour around the US in 2025.

This tenth podcast of the Elata Series features mchvlsm, a Brazilian artist based in Berlin.

As an immersion in a captivating forest, mchvlsm captures the essence of tribalism with fast paced bass lines and a feral atmosphere. A journey through his productions offers the audience a complete experience of ritualistic techno. A music that takes root in the nature that surrounds him, full of elements but stays true to minimalist but sharp rhythms.
With releases on MZRRecords, SYXT, Evil Groove or AUM Records, mchvlsm proved his unique style.

We contacted mchvlsm after listening to his EP on MalaNoche. The quality of the release, the style of production and the energy behind these tracks were completely in line with our definition of techno. We then been able to discover more of his work and were extremely happy to meet him, and it confirmed that his vision was incredible.
His music is completely part of what we define as Elata vibe, and we are really honoured to host his first podcast. This 90 min podcast is a blend of energy and style, and also the chance to discover more of his work.

Keep his name in mind, more will come.
