R.EK is back with a new EP, set to release on the renowned EINMUSIKA RECORDINGS label on March 10th, 2023.

Known for his captivating techno music, characterized by warm melodies and distinctive beats, R.EK continues this tradition with this EP.
"The Balance" is a breathtaking track, given an extra touch of special by the vocals of NATASCHA POLKÉ.
The remix by the Italian duo THOMAS SCHWARTZ & FAUSTO FANIZZA adds another dimension to the release, rounding out the tracklist.

R.EK, NATASCHA POLKÉ and the italien duo are thrilled about the new EP and looking forward to presenting it to the listeners. "I'm very proud of this EP. 'Annett Gapstream is back on Artminding with her first EP. Two originals show her distinctive and characteristic musical variety drawn by vivacious DJ gigs all over Europe. Just as her international career, also her latest productions are picking up speed and reflect the constant process of heading a little further.

For the title track “Halluzination” Annett Gapstream premiered herself in the recording booth of the studio and created a dynamic, highly memorable iteration towards illusional, hallucinatory messages that wreathe the audience in a higher mental state while dancing. Surrounded by a lofty melody and very present drums the track reveals an entire new range of melodic techno creativity.

Meanwhile “Surrealism” and its warm bassline conveys a more soothing or relaxed atmosphere with lots of potential to dream away during clubby mornings.

The whole idea of this release is fulfilled by three extraordinary remixes. Amsterdam based electronic music gem Hollt, shootingstar Max von Sternberg from Vienna and Live artist Concious complete the EP with their majestic note right on top of modern electronic music production.'

It became a great selection of which Fat Cosmoe, Precursor, Hollt, Aalson and Convolute return to the label. Besides, Kimman and Ikaro Grati are making their debut.

Aalson's interpretation of ‘Pushing You Away’ represents the emotional part of the collection. After Starting off very timid, the track unfolds itself into a sophisticated play of intriguing and floating elements, which are giving more and more during the track.'

"Geiger" is the opening piece. With an imposing declaration of intent, we enter into a relentless rhythm. Accompanied by pads that lead you into a feeling of euphoria and culminate in an explosion of sensations. A majestic composition destined for the dancefloor.

19:26 is one of the gala guests at this show and performs his version of "Geiger". An artist who has burst onto the scene with his great talent and his peculiar way of interpreting music. He delights us with his journey of melodies and atmospheres that transport you through space and time.

Radeckt presents his particular vision of "Geiger". With his characteristic elegance and sound, he shows off his creative skills with a subtle and seamless production. A marked rhythm accompanied by joyful and mysterious melodies that end in a sensory explosion.

"Circles & Cicles" puts the finishing touch with a frenetic track. Braemer unloads all his potential to sign a rough and fierce discourse. Squeezing the synthesizers to the maximum to emit punctures to the eardrum. Not suitable for sensitive ears.

Artwork by Nuria Baena. For this special release, the artist captures the fusion of the human being with a musical instrument, in this case the violin. Representing the union that exists between the musician and the instrument, as if it were part of it.

Release Info: 
'Evolving' was inspired by the theme of escape and connection, like two lanes coming together then diverging, then coming back together. It's Habischman's third release on Dubfire's SCI+TEC but the first one as a collaboration with a vocalist. Habischman discovered Miila Mor through the demo submission on his own app Beatlift, that he's launching to help musicians connect.

The beginning of the song is about the intensity of a connection, wanting to push away from it at the same time as pull away from it, fear being the driving force. As the feeling builds, it becomes more powerful, and harder to separate from, which leads to the point of taking action; running away. The chorus of the song focuses on this very idea, running until the feeling passes. The end of the song is about surrendering to it, realizing that it’s better to take risks in life, to be present to the pain from past experiences, to dissolve it and evolve from it. “Hereafter” the final lyric, is about rebirth, that there is life after the death of something else, and sometimes suffering is a part of our preparation, it’s what makes us human, and it’s what leads us into the next phase. So ultimately, the moral is to notice our fears and give in to our desires in life.

Waiting is sort of an interim state that exists because of a future occurrence. But what kind of feelings are triggered if you realize that the anticipated event fails to occur? “I’m waiting for nothing.” Do you feel frustrated? Does the waiting period become a farce? Was it all for nothing?
“Waiting”, the latest track by melodic techno artist R.EK, addresses this ambiguous, hard to define emotional state. The staggering, driving bass line represents frustration; the catchy chord progression depicts despair. And every now and then, hope still shimmers through. 
In this instance, all the waiting wasn’t in vain. It was the seed for an infectious track that will resonate in your ears for a while.

The first notes of “Feys”, R.EK’s latest work and first single release in 2020, leave a volatile impression. The sound’s grace evokes the moment when you see a stranger’s face for the first time, when you inspect its details; cheek dimples, wrinkles on the forehead, a mysterious shade around the eyes.
With every passing second one discovers new details, striking passages taking turns with vulnerable sounds, and with every additional piece of the puzzle you’ll get closer to the core of this work. “Feys” heralds a new era for R.EK and introduces a new chapter for his label KnotenMusic—by uniting melodic techno with cinematic dramatics. In collaboration with Hannes Bieger, whose mixing adds a warm touch to the sound, R.EK is again pushing boundaries, and explores new grounds, where subtle, harmonious synthies and an enormous love for detail are paired to enable a new, distinct sound.
