How long had it been since she felt the sun on her face; since she felt the sand between her toes and the fresh sea air clearing her sinuses? Too long than she cared to remember... She could literally taste the freedom on the tip of her tongue, the liberation slowly cascading over her - it was a feeling she never thought she'd have again, but now here she was, looking out to sea with a renewed sense of existence. Who knows what twists and turns lay ahead, what obstacles might be just around the corner... She really couldn't wait to find out.

Optimo Music's Digital Dancefloor series returns with its 49th instalment, this time welcoming Trule boss Al Wootton for a two-tracker that's certified to cause destruction on the dancefloor. Having featured Al's music under his Deadboy alias back in the day on their “Dark Was The Night” mix CD, Optimo now bring him on board for two chuggy, dubbed out disco tracks that both unfold over the course of nine minutes. Laid down live in takes and using hardware synths and external processing, he explores a host of different genres that he's always held dear from post-punk and psychedelia to proto house and dub.

Oceanic - Even If I Lose Everything (DJ Version)

Today is a special one in the Delayed world as we’re overjoyed to premiere a tune from the second release on our label, Never Late. The culmination of many months of work, the release day is rapidly approaching, and we could be none the happier. For our second musical guest, we look to Basel-based artist Mjulev and his intimate album titled ‘Clouds Are The Better Birds’. Spanning 8 tracks, Mjulev guides listeners gently into his auditory psyche as he states about the album, 

"Clouds are the better birds - It becomes clear only through observing the clouds how slowly they float up there, so detached from everything that drives us down here. Truly liberated from the forward push and the hustle and bustle, from left to right, from branch to branch, always on guard, not to be accidentally eaten by a cat.

They just float, sometimes darker, sometimes lighter, sometimes faster, sometimes slower. When they meet, they merge and then continue floating as if they had always been one. Looking up feels so timeless. A longing that cannot be satisfied down here. It is omnipresent, but sometimes I manage, just for brief moments, but these are enough to understand what it would be like to be a cloud.

The special thing about the album for me is that it was not created in situations where I was a bird. It was created in moments where I had the headspace to be a cloud, and if it helps others to be like a cloud even just for a short time, then it was worth it, because these moments have become very rare.”

Our premiere, ‘Birds On Acid’ is the final track on the release, a rhythmic come-down that tugs at the heartstrings. Evoking a sense of finality and completeness. The plucks and textures play well with each other, complimenting both the analog fuzz and bright synths. Key features of the entire release.

Birds On Acid, as well in turn, ‘Clouds Are The Better Birds’ will be released on April 12th, so stay tuned.

PREMIERE: Mjulev - Birds On Acid [Never Late]

I am THEGOD01, a manifestation of the Humanoid Gods, those eternal entities observing and decoding the vibrations emanating from the Human Race. Once again, we gather to study the waves transmitted by this peculiar species, whose sound creations often defy the physics we are accustomed to.

This time, the source is an entity already known in our cosmic database: Titta. A terrestrial life-form that, in the past, has made a significant deposit in our astral archives with his album Things Found Outside, a collection of sonic fragments meticulously crafted to bend time, space, and perception. Today, he returns with a new experiment, a series of waves bending and distorting through gravitational tunnels and frequency wormholes. His recent track Fragments That Meet, released on the compilation Homo Sapiens: Acoustical Research, already hinted at the direction of this temporal disturbance.
This dj set is truly a sonic wormhole: a space-time deviation in the continuum of terrestrial electronic music. The sound waves Titta emits are constructed on a pattern of phase and counter-phase, manipulated with the precision of a temporal traveler. His beats do not follow a linear cadence but vibrate amidst interferences and unexpected modulations, dissolving the human perception of meter.

Here, the sound spectrum fractures into irregular synchronies, generating rhythmic structures that are chaotic yet controlled, like gravitational waves traversing deep space. Low and dense frequencies intertwine with sharp pulses, creating constructive and destructive interferences, moving like quantum particles between states of superposition. It’s electronic music that defies earthly laws, traveling across astral planes and challenging human ears bound by convention.
The dark, syncopated sound Titta conjures cannot be confined to a genre label. It is like a sonic black hole, where familiar references are sucked in and shattered, leaving behind only palpable, yet intangible, gravitational emotion. His waveforms dance at the edge of chaos, opening temporal portals through which listeners lose themselves, immersed in total non-linearity. Unusual frequencies penetrate the human mind, breaking the illusion of traditional rhythm, revealing their primordial nature.

For us, the Humanoid Gods, this set is another window into the study of human behavior. Titta explores their existential tensions and translates them into sounds that challenge logic and the stability of familiar frequencies. It’s proof of how the human race, through the manipulation of sound waves, seeks to trace a path through the chaos of their existence.
The human-race protocol continues. This dj set is not merely music; it is an astrophysical enigma, a fold in time and space. A distant echo in the cosmic void, destined to be analyzed and understood only by those who, like us, can decode waves in their deepest manifestations.

PREMIERE : Memory Play - Thick Skin

Laurent Garnier's COD3 QR presents the magnificent seven on the latest digital release, "[QR]D.320.MFS.24", which features exclusive tracks by both label regulars and new signings: Alex Rothschild, Loloman, Costello, Manuel-M, Carlos Nilmmns, Jim Rivers and Onur Ozman.

Alex Rothschild aka Coco Basel is a producer and DJ whose musical journey was shaped by a decade in New York. During this time, he was deeply influenced by house music legends such as Todd Terry, Terry Hunter, Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, and Louie Vega. Now he's gravitating towards minimalist electronic music, like "Cosmorak", enriched with groovy basslines, while retaining the New York and Detroit essences that have defined his style.

Loloman is a leading French producer creating music without adhering to conventional rules, blending styles, synthesizing sounds, and unveiling a unique and diverse musical world filled with strong emotions and a groove that aims for universality, inspired by his extensive experience on the dancefloor. He has previously released tracks on the likes of MB Elektroniks, Brique Rouge, Metrohm, and here with his latest for Cod3 QR, "The Wall”.

Costello is a versatile French electronic music producer, artist, and DJ known for his cutting-edge sound and technical prowess. With a rich discography that traverses techno, disco and beyond, Costello has carved out a niche as a genre-defying act which he brings to new track "Dream Operator". His standout tracks have previously captured the attention of underground stalwarts like Boys Noize, Solomon for releases on their labels. And of course Laurent Garnier.

A discreet yet respected artist on the scene, Manuel-M has been working passionately behind his machines since 2008. He remains attached to an old-school vision, marked by the pioneers of techno, while incorporating his style through contemporary sound design as displayed on his track "Take". His major influences, notably Technasia, Vince Watson and Ken Ishii, are reflected in his compositions, which are both eclectic and deeply rooted in the music's heritage. Manuel navigates between genres, with releases on other renowned labels such as Tronic and Brique Rouge.

Ross McMillan aka Carlos Nilmmns is a UK producer, originally from Glasgow (Scotland) but now living in Angers (France), whose name has become synonymous with an eclectic but often deep and sensual sound. In the past, he's released on some of the world's best-of-breed labels including Circus Company, Cocoon, Ornaments, KMS, Planet E and Dopewax. Here he delivers the jazz-infused beauty, "Just Another Day".

Returning to the studio after several years hiatus, Jim Rivers aka Copy Paste Soul has picked up where he left off. With previous releases on Bedrock, Global Underground, Renaissance and an album on Carl Cox's Intec label, Jim's back catalogue is awash with variety, made with a depth and warmth few can match. After finding time to immerse himself back into the studio, the past few months have been a hive of activity, culminating in a string of new productions for Poker Flat, Traum and here on COD3 QR with the driving "Canna".

Onur Ozman is one of the more remarkable names in Deep House. He is an artist and a professional architect, who combines both disciplines in his precise productions. Sound design to the smallest details. Now based in Zurich (Switzerland), Onur started his career as a prominent member of the Istanbul House music scene in early 2005, and his musical talent has since led to him releasing music on labels like Sum Over Histories, Isolate, Yoshitoshi, Hottrax, Rebirth, Noir Music and Kwench. His love for the origins of electronic music mixed with a commitment to the discovery of new sounds gives his catalogue a wide range, with no genre restrictions, like this experimental closing track "If U Want".
