If it weren’t for Drop Bass Network, I wouldn’t be a DJ.  I actually wouldn’t even be a raver since they threw the first rave I went to in 1994, Minneapolis. Back then, Drop Bass parties were all hardcore, gabber, acid, and slammin’ hard acid.  Techno was starting to get popular, and jungle had not yet taken hold in the Midwest. 

At that first rave, the Drop Bass founders showed me the DJ booth and a few short months later, I had my own decks and records-- DBN dominated my record crate.  

Drop Bass Network was the first rave company to officially book me for a main stage and put me on a flier, which was the first Even Furthur, and when I made my comeback in 2018, they were the first to book me again, this time for Hardcore Breakfast at the New Year’s Day 2019 party in Minneapolis.  

I owe Drop Bass a lot—my whole life, quite possibly…

All these tracks can be found on Bandcamp, except the Mooses on Acid “One Day in the Woods” EP.  (Not sure why it’s not, as it is only the best hard acid record ever made, in my opinion.  I have the test press on vinyl.)

Alright Fam, Thiz iz a live recording from a rave in Chicago back in the mid 90'z where it featured DJ ESP aka Woody McBride along with DJ Hyperactive. Sorry I don't have an exact date here... It'z just that from the late 80'z til late 90'z... I would get so many tapez from promoter'z, club owner'z, dj'z, record label'z, etc. 2 play on my radio show'z... I'm talking hundred'z by the month & I wouldn't have the time 2 label all of them thinking I would get back 2 it later & just throw a sticky on it with the basic info. Maybe some of you have gone 2 these ravez & can help me get tha dates locked.
Other than that, all I can say iz that these mixes contain some of the best acid house!!!
