We hung out with @AxelBoman in Stockholm and the surrounding area with a recorder, to collect sounds from the city where he lives. He then compiled these found sounds into a unique, Stockholm infused track for You Need To Hear This.

Three Fingerz Musique drops its third release, coming from Underground Quality's Melchior Sultana. 

His 3FM003 is composed of 3 diverse soulful tracks, all recorded live which are set to be played everywhere this winter. The EP opens with 'Healer', an emotional slow jam driven by warm pads and original voices that probably makes you think of Theo Parrish's 'Flower'. Following on is the club oriented 'Story', a straight House track guided by a 4/4 drum machine pattern and permeated with a loved up vibe. The EP ends with the deeper 'Time Can Tell': broken rides, key solos, groovy bass-line.. Jazz!

Renowned for his intricate productions techniques and fervent dedication to all things deep, Maltese producer Melchior Sultana is an artist in the truest sense of the word. A multifaceted producer and live act, Sultana has repped some of the scene’s most renowned names in his time, with the likes of Jus Ed’s Underground Quality and Mike Grant’s Moods & Grooves among those who’ve hosted his sultry jams. The producer’s latest endeavor sees him kick off his own label, Profound Sound. A vehicle for Sultana’s own productions, the imprint’s inaugural release is ‘Love for the Art’, a four track EP that’s bristling with warm analogue goodness throughout. 

Getting us underway is the sounds of ‘Feel This’. A hazy introduction to proceedings, its packed with beguiling melodies and atmospheric vibes throughout, and though its roots lie closer to Detroit than Malta,it’s exactly the sort of gem that’d sound perfect when toasting a sunset on the Maltese coast.

J A surfaces on RUBBER with six disorienting wave tracks, reigniting the catalogue after a short hiatus. Crafted by Andrea Noce (Eva Geist, As Longitude) and Jonida Prifti (Acchiappashpirt, Opa Opa), these productions find elegance in their noir aesthetic and sketch-like composition, breathing filmic atmospheres of its creative process and the hedonist self alike. 

Straying away from the societal drift for efficiency and make belief, this record was produced over a timespan of five years, while shifting between Berlin and Rome. Dancing and loafing, mirrors were splintered and scattered shards reflected a new light. Here, Noce her serpentine sense of melody guides uncharted signatures of reverber­ating syncopated drums, while soundscapes move in and out as apparitions fogging the mind. The poetic spoken-singing of Prifti  subdues the tracks, through a linguistic form where Albanian and Italian intertwine, channeling her scientific field into art. Cleverly processed, the vocals take on many shapes, blurring lines between instrumen­tation and recognition, creating meaning where language ends.
