inpsired by the theme for this competition 'Unfurnished Apartment' I used foley and sounds to reflect an empty space. The accompanying video was made to encompass this also. Footage gathered from a mobile phone used to create artifacts from the source and further databent/moshed with avidemux and hex editor and edited in hit film express.

Greetings trans-dimensional entities!

As you all can plainly see, a small rift has formed between this dimension, and an unknown location, namely the hidden audio laboratory of visionary glitch wizard, Jim Kimchi. Upon closer inspection, the rift was emanating something that must be music, but it was of such an advanced nature that it was unlike anything this terrestrial world has ever heard.

Jim Kimchi opens the door to a new dimension in glitch music with his Pure Gravy ep. One rife with intentional errors, programmed collapses, and crumbling structures set amidst dissolving holograms. A world in a perpetual state of disintegration, shown to you through many different lenses and angles. Each track seems built from impossibly complex structures, forever locked in a cannibalistic dance of consuming itself to make itself.

As we all arrive at this moment in time, upon reflection we are forever arriving at a moment in time, and consequently decaying from each moment to the next. jabberwock arrives to explore this concept through a distinct flavour of corrupt future sonics, dissolving holograms and entropic aesthetics, creating an immersive study in spatial decomposition. 

Essentially utilizing a single loop as a starting point for each piece, various methods of spatial degradation are explored, all treated with care to be evolving throughout the entire 3D sound field over time. Binaural noise, liquid granulations, mutating and decaying structures, and spectral erosion are a few examples of what to expect within.

This album has been designed with the specific and sole intention of deep and entrancing psychedelic immersion. A signpost pointing into the abyss of your own subconscious, preparing to open a psychoacoustic doorway of 3D sound design and hypnotic cerebral muzak to guide you further into broken realities and coalescing holophonics. 

"This here is the audio documentation of a magick ritual undertaken by an ancient race of binary alien entities in a distant dimension. As jabberwock has been known to travel the aether in search of tantalizing aural oddities, this right here is a mighty fine specimen that he has managed to secure for your further study and research. 

But be warned, once you have been exposed to these magicks, they will infiltrate your mind and you will be forever altered in ways unknown at the present time. This ritual contains highly immersive binaural structures, xenorganic instrumentations, decomposing data dumps and holographic glitches.

It's highly recommended to complete in one sitting to allow for the ritual to firmly take hold. This album has been through a lot of spatial treatments, so headphones are highly recommended to get the full immersive 3D effect, however, it has been treated in a way that still promises holograms out of even a pair of stereo monitors!

The battle is over. Few are left standing, but humanity has won. The young man is mortally injured. In his final moments, the young man can't help but feel melancholy. He wishes he could reverse time to stop himself from ever entering Omega City, but the past is the past. Letting go, he hopes future generations will learn from his mistakes and live for themselves, making the world a better place.

"The third album in the series continues our dive into hyperglitch with Weaving Ritual by Sunnk. This album was one of the main inspirations for making this series. It's deep and emotional, expressive and raw, tech-y and precise. The sound design is endlessly fascinating. I find myself pausing to re-listen to individual moments over and over again, trying to understand what exactly is going on. And somehow, even with all this technical complexity, the album comes across as natural, as if each maneuver was as effortless as a press of a key. The story of the album is patient but unafraid of being abrupt or pushing the listener away. Weaving Ritual feels like a dark spell cast in the middle of an abandoned street. A vortex that we are pulled into. Dragging us through our darkest memories kicking and screaming, pulled inside out. Blending into a fog of thick heavy smoke that collects into liquid that slides down the gutter. We wake up from the hallucinations in the final moments of the album and find ourselves running but can't remember from what."
