RACHAEL DADD - Strike Our Scythes

Live recording from a show in Japan at Guggenheim house where I previously recorded piano songs for Bite the Mountain. Here I am joined by some of my favorite musicians in Japan - Inada Makoto on double bass who also plays on Bite the Mountain, experimental drummer Yamagisan (and famous for her delicious handmade udon noodles), Kamei Naoko on clarinet and ICHI on Steel drum

This is a version of Window recorded at the guggenheim, Japan, with ICHI on steel pan. It was recorded for Bite the Mountain but we chose to use the studio ukulele version instead so not many ears have heard this one

Elephants swimming - live version

Song from my most recent album Bite The Mountain which I recorded in Japan. This song is about onigiri which is a parcel of rice wrapped in seaweed with a surprise in the middle which is usually fishy!
