Inspired by the viral book series ACOTAR, London-based Kiwi artist Rachel Leo’s latest single ‘Nightfall’ captures the tension & chemistry that grows while anticipating seeing someone, with sonic references to Tate McRae, Ariana Grande and 2010s pop. The single, produced by Joel Jones (Will Swinton, Balu Brigada) & mixed by Liam Quinn (Peach PRC, Ruel), is coupled w/ a sultry music video directed by Mason Bennett (Benee, Fazerdaze).

Deemed by many as New Zealand’s next pop export, Rachel Leo is back with another single on October 25, ‘Good God!’, written with and produced by Joel Jones (Will Swinton, Balu Brigada, alayna). In the same vein as Sabrina Carpenter, Clairo and Dayglow, this track is a nonchalant, unbothered goodbye to a situation that was no longer serving her. The easy and fun feel of this single marks the start of a new sound for Rachel Leo - “whether it’s a relationship, friendship, family situation, workplace or even an era of your life, this track is about moving on to better and bigger things knowing your absence will be felt deeply when you’re gone”.
