This Lost Minute episode features MARTIN SZÉPE, a Budapest-based electronic music artist, who started collecting and spinning records ~16 years now. Around the same time, he began experimenting with music production which nowadays escalated to fanatically seeking new gears/tools/methods to achieve unique sounds. Mostly focused on house, sometimes breakbeat or even techno-ish genres with some seasing of micro sounds. As a reflection of 2022, he decided to present a collection of highlights of his productions from the last year with some flavor of late 2021 in the end, in the frame of a live set. As Martin loves the dynamically building sets, in this production he starts with his softer, but dark and deep, kind of early vibes type of tunes, then slowly evolves it to definitive house tracks, fading into more techno territories and ending with pieces that were mostly inspired by progressive vibes from the early 2000s. This whole set was recorded live with his favorite performance tools like the Octatrack, Digitakt, Digitone, Analog Rytm, and also slightly with eurorack modules for effecting stems or adding some extra flavor on the top.
