Thomas Klaps, professionally known as 𝐊𝐥𝐚𝐩𝐬, is a Belgian DJ and techno producer hailing from 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐠𝐢𝐮𝐦, and currently residing in 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧. His passion for electronic music ignited at the age of eight when his father gifted him a record player, marking the beginning of his musical journey.

Over the years, Klaps has established himself in the electronic music scene with 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 and 𝐝𝐲𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐃𝐉 𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐬, performing at renowned festivals such as 𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝, 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐚 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐮𝐤𝐤𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐨𝐩, where he delivered a memorable performance in the 𝐁𝐨𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐦. He has released music also on 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝐙𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐝’𝐬 𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥, 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐢𝐝, and launched his own label, 𝐆𝐞𝐭 𝐈𝐧 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐞.
His music has garnered support from industry leaders like 𝐏𝐚𝐧-𝐏𝐨𝐭, 𝐃𝐮𝐛𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐞, 𝐋𝐮𝐢𝐠𝐢 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐚, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐞 𝐝𝐞 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞.

Through his dedication to his craft, with this release on 𝐀𝐔𝐑𝐀, he's marking his 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 from a harder, more driving sound to a 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐯𝐞-𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡. „Road to Shambla“ erzählt die Geschichte einer inneren und äußeren Reise – vom ersten Trommelschlag der Erde bis zu den pulsierenden Rhythmen der Zivilisation. Zwischen orientalischen Klängen, tribalem Puls und europäischen Klanglandschaften entfaltet sich ein Soundscape, das den Weg zur sagenhaften Stadt Shambla zeichnet – einem Ort jenseits der Zeit, an dem Körper, Geist und Groove eins werden.
Fließende Percussions, erdige Bässe und sphärische Melodien verschmelzen zu einer Meditation in Bewegung – eine Einladung, dich treiben zu lassen, zu atmen, zu tanzen und anzukommen.


“Road to Shambla” tells the story of an. inner and outer journey – from the first drumbeat of the Earth to the pulsating rhythms of civilization. Between oriental tones, tribal pulses, and European soundscapes unfolds a sonic path leading toward the mythical city of Shambla – a place beyond time, where body, mind, and groove become one.
Flowing percussions, earthy basslines, and ethereal melodies merge into a meditation in motion – an invitation to drift, to breathe, to dance, and to arrive.

Straight movin minimalism! The EP kicks off with >Abstract<, which is the name of it. The Track is driven by a strong baseline accompanied by an analogue synthesizer surface, joined by constantly shifting percussions and open hat. A-sided >Jacksons< program, number two on wax, follows a jerkin hi-hat groove that shines over the whole track which never ends and injects a dance catharsis.

B-sided - “You Deserve It" - is probably the quietest track of the EP, but nevertheless is joined by a meditative synth and rolling bass that evolves while a magical vocal accompanies the deep horizon. The never-ending dream of love!

B-sided - "Yes.SN" is a hypnotic perpetuating snare groove that moves the audience and leads to frenzy, rounding off the whole EP. Vinyl only!
