KRANKk is a Belgian trio composed of Aram Abgaryan, Thomas Geysen, and Willem Heylen, who are widely known for their eclectic music style that draws from UK Garage, Grime, and other influences. The trio, who studied at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, have now released a new EP titled "Thr33fold" on DJ Murdock's Radar Records. This new EP shows their talent in the Drum and Bass genre and promises to bring an immersive and virtuosic live experience to their audience.

The EP opens with "META," a powerful half-time beat that sets the tone for the rest of the EP. The track has echoes of dystopian science fiction and builds up to a powerful drop that leaves the listener flattened and satisfied.

The second track, "The Wire," features Shaka Shams and is a gritty, angsty, and powerful track that projects the anger of the failing system.

The title track, "Thr33fold," is a mix of Jersey-Club, Drum and Bass, and Ambient music and represents the coming together of the trio.

In "LAW x Mad Hed City," KRANKk explores their megalomaniacal sound with distinct drum and bass breaks, topped off with Caribbean flavors. Mad Hed City, known from his infamous dnb tracks with The Prototypes, raps and sings about life during the pandemic. The track symbolizes that power will always stay in the hands of the people.

"Follow Me" is a slightly dubby track that brings balance to the EP with its blend of electronic and acoustic sounds. It represents the virtuosity of KRANKk within the context of Drum and Bass.

KRANKk grew up listening to jungle, Drum and Bass, Dubstep, and UK Garage and their love of these genres helped shape their unique sound. Their ambition is to travel and make music with other artists, responding to each other's influences and creating something new and exciting. The opportunity to play their music live is a dream come true for the trio.

With the release of "Thr33fold," KRANKk is set to match, if not surpass, their previous achievements. The EP is a balance of electronic music that encompasses acoustic sounds, showcasing their virtuosity as a live band.

Their previous singles have gained recognition over the years: "Crazy" (2019), "Don't Forget" (2020), and "Aftermath" (2021), all of which made it to the Ultratip charts in the Flemish Ultratop charts. The band has been pushing the boundaries of music and is known for their UK Garage and Grime sound, mixed with their own influences. With their new EP "Thr33fold," KRANKk continues to showcase their versatility and musical talent.

KRANKk has partnered with Pioneer PRO AUDIO to create a revolutionary immersive experience. During the 2022 Pukkelpop festival, they provided a performance that completely immersed the audience in their music. The Booth stage was transformed into a 360° platform, allowing listeners to be surrounded by sound, light, and visuals from all directions. This created a unique and unforgettable experience.

Electronic producer Feverkin will be releasing his new single ‘Element & Moderate’ on the 10th of March via the Deep Heads imprint. ‘Element & Moderate’ is the first single to be released from the record label’s new compilation, Cosmic Vibrations Vol. 4, which will be released on the 26th of May. Having featured on Cosmic Vibrations Vol.3 with his composition ‘Deconstruct’, he returns for the fourth edition to feature alongside the likes of Bonobo, Richard Spaven, Jordan Rakei, Quantic, Synkro, BADBADNOTGOOD, Nosaj Thing, Lone, Liminka, Deep Heads founder Zeb Samuels (of course), Hidden Orchestra, and Yonderling. The producer has received support from industry publications EARMILK, Impose Magazine, and Acid Stag among others and has had his music appear on the well-known Youtube channel Fluidified.

A composer and producer residing in Portland, Oregon, Feverkin is the musical alias of Adam Orfale. Feverkin crafts his sound by sampling, morphing, and arranging recordings of traditional instruments. Drawing inspiration from Trip Hop, Garage, Lofi, Jazz, and Classical music, Feverkin strikes a unique balance between melody and beat, resulting in instrumentally-driven downtempo music that is both organic, glitchy, and moody. He takes inspiration from Burial, Phaeleh, Alaskan Tapes, and Synkro to create music in the same vein as Òlafur Arnalds, Phaeleh, and Bonobo.

The beat work of ‘Element & Moderate’ is precise and intricate. As one might expect from a Feverkin recording, an array of instruments are scattered around the production. Upright Piano and Cello are just some of the many live elements incorporated in this incredible piece, not to mention loads of floating frequencies in which to lose oneself.

Feverkin tells us about the song: “‘Element & Moderate’ is about being at a crossroads and knowing the difference between which path you want to take and which path you need to take. This song started with a nearly 10-year-old recording of my friend playing the drums in a warehouse/office space. I edited and looped a particular part that had a vibe and built the song with the beat being the focus.”
