A quest for spiritual identity led me from Chicago to Israel at 16, where I eventually befriended a singer-songwriter rabbi with a loooong beard and a twinkle in his eye.

David introduced me to the Kabbalistic principle that Hashem alone did, does, and will do all that has been, is being, or ever will be done.

He encouraged me to “invest” time alone in nature and gifted me an old guitar, an empty notebook, a pen, and a bag of magic mushrooms…

Dark Star is a reference to a song by the Grateful Dead which is one of their more free form and experimental songs. I hope to encapsulate that type of vibe in most of my work. Other than that I'd say much of my inspiration comes from music festivals like Summer Camp or Electric Forest. Some other influences on my music are CharlestheFirst, Pink Floyd, Alix Perez, Tsuruda, the outdoors, the duality of existence, and A Tribe Called Quest.  


I hope to create not just bass music or moody Pink Floyd-esqe music but alot of fun music to dance to as well as thought provoking, abstract pieces of art. I know my sound may be all over the place but thank you for tuning in!
