Launched by Claudia Hdz & DJ/Producer Brett Johnson, Might be Magic emerged on the Austin dance scene in March of 2021 and has quickly become one of the cities favorite parties. Resident DJ Brett Johnson, known for his groovy, bumping house infused with all the right techno elements, contributes over 20 years of experience to the party giving it it’s authentic, underground atmosphere. Focused on bringing industry legends to Texas to play alongside Austin’s best-kept local talent, Might be Magic has hosted over 80 parties with headliners such as Mystic Bill, Brett Johnson, Mark Grusane, Ash Lauryn, Lauren Flax, Mike Servito, Cinthie, Daniel Bell, Bradley Zero, Vicki Powell, Gene on Earth, Psychmagik, Marcos Cabral, Bill Converse, The Silver Rider and more.  A healthy dose of house, techno and acid bangers. Mind-altering sets with glowing hardware. Synth madness and disco getdowns. And always, a magical dance floor full of magical people.

Loves all genres of dance music especially Progressive House and Old Skool because that's where it all started for me, going to clubs such as Venus, The Eclipse, Shelleys, Renaissance and Progress to name but a few.


In 1992 two souls from San Francisco descended on Austin. Homesick, we wanted to recreate the dance scene we loved from home and so we searched the dance floor of the 404 and many other places looking for the true believers of the dance, passing out 3x5 index cards with a time and place rubberstamped on them.  And so raDiANCe was born one hot summer night in a loading dock under what is now the city hall complex, a true come-unity of djs, vjs, interactive video artists, roboticists, dancers and cyberfreaks. This was our music.
