At Radikon, we were mesmerized the first time we heard Diamond Mouth's angelic brand of noisy, dream-like pop and have asked some of our favorite artists to reimagine the Danish duo's singular soundscapes for catalogue number 31.

Frankey & Sandrino's rendition of 'Stare at Me' shrouds the original's lumbering moodiness in layers of impatient percussive salvos and sizzling electric stabs. A monumental pad infuses the haunting vocals with a sense of urgency, creating a compelling emotional dichotomy to the hypnotic original.

Setting the dissonant spoken word mantras of 'Divine Flow' to a mechanical, throbbing groove with pulsating blips and white noise hits, Ruede Hagelstein retains the original's menacing quality. In a striking change of pace, the track is enveloped in layers of soothing pads and glittering percussion, artfully mirroring the original's progression from dissonant uneasiness to divine bliss.

Yubik's version of 'Blade of Light' imbibes the original's monumentality, while infusing it with a powerful anthemic quality. His signature drum and synth work adds a beautiful layer of massive, all-encompassing emotionality, and distills the original's complex soundscapes into raw dance floor energy.

Contrasting to Ruede's rendition, Jonas Saalbach chose a different route for his version of 'Divine Flow'. Focusing on the blissful, floaty energy in the second part of the original, Jonas elevates the dreamy original to shimmering heights of pure bliss set to an effortlessly powerful groove.

There’s something distinctly poetic to the sprawling sound collages of Ahmet Atakan, which he arranges around the pounding rhythm of his kickdrum from field recordings and anecdotal samples, piano chords and string entries, the singing of humans and the chanting of machines. He conjures up abstract states of emotion and morphs them playfully into specific thoughts, gracefully mixing up soulful and intelligent vibes. All of this makes his music a perfect match for a good, loud sound system, and also for the catalogue of Acker Special. The six tracks of the Words EP add up to something reminiscent of a mini album – and rumours have it that an extensive remix project is already brewing...

Timeless Moment is very proud to present the brand new “Stereotypical  EP” from the label debuting Israeli duo Dj AroZe and Mimram.

In this EP we have the massive deep vocal cut in “Closer”, featuring the beautiful singing from British writer and vocalist Luke Coulson.  Very introspective lyrics with strong emotional inner struggle metaphors are accompanied by lush melodic synth arrangements and a perfect hypnotic groove. The track is a true progressive journey through our deepest feelings, simply timeless. 

The second cut of this EP is the title track “Stereotypical”, a masterfully crafted production blending techno and trance elements in perfect synchronism.  A tune that mixes elements of old school sound with the modern melodic techno vibes of our today, to create a silver bullet for the dance floor. 

And finally, Dj AroZe and Mimram bring “Callisto”, a track surrounded by dark ambiences, involving atmospheres and lots of suspense, finishing off this amazing EP in timeless fashion.

On our final release of 2020, Marc Holstege and newcomer duo Jaquomo each offer strikingly tender original tracks, while remixers Moonwalk and Fabian Krooss rework them with dancefloors past and future in mind. The result is a split EP that bridges the gap between the intimate, highly personal experience of today and the nostalgia-driven hope for tomorrow. 

On Marc Holstege's 'The Boy In The Garden', melancholic strings rise and fall endlessly over a slow breakbeat and shimmering synths. But it's the soulful, contemplative male vocal sitting at the song's core that reaches straight for the heart – and won't let go again. 'Wolves (Sunday Morning Version)' is equally touching, as the Dutch producer guides another delicate vocal through a dazzling slow-beat arrangement with profound results. For their remix, the Italian duo Moonwalk then strip 'The Boy In The Garden' of its sentimental atmospheres, cunningly remoulding the vocals to fit their razor-sharp and cinematic peak-time sound.

Jaquomo's 'Replace Space' is sure to run on repeat. Here, Caro Mac's vocal incites our memories for those lost loves as it floats over pensive chords and a crunchy trip-hop beat. 'Close & Hide' is pitched-down piano house accentuated by another ingenious use of vox, making it just as moreish. Rounding things off with a bang, Fabian Krooss reimagines 'Replace Space' as a playful italo-disco opus of arpeggiated basslines and wonky synths.

Producer and painter work closely together at Radikon to craft genuine, heartfelt art. The Berlin based imprint was founded in the autumn of 2018 by Jonas Saalbach and David Guzy who embarked on a journey with their close friends Arude, Baime, Dahu, Foreign Guest, Tantum and Yubik. Effortless grooves, organic synthesis, haunting melodies and the masterful subtleties of Simon Kneip's artworks drive the captivating atmospheres at Radikon.
