El productor chileno Waxuma nos presenta su primer EP, "Changó". Hecho a partir de grabaciones propias de algunos instrumentos como trompe, congas y cuerdas, es el resultado de la mezcla de los sonidos que vibran en él. Inspirado en los ritmos Yoruba y la multiculturalidad sonora, Waxuma compone en un proceso casi ritual, en un espacio y tiempo desapegado de lo cotidiano, entrando a su propio inconsciente. Se encuentran instinto más conocimiento hasta que florece la idea.

Cheema — derived from the Italian "cima" (ˈʧima), as in “cima di rapa,” “cima di cola,” “cima di Bitonto,” etc. — serves as the human instrument that brings the traditions of Puglia to the club, utilizing electronic music as a universal language for cultural sharing. Since 1996, Cheema has been an integral part of the music scene, starting as a DJ, progressing to a producer, and eventually becoming a live performer with advanced sound management technologies.
The acquisition of new live techniques has enabled Cheema to experiment and collaborate with over 60 musicians to date. This exploration has resulted in diverse musical proposals spanning various genres. Cheema extends the voice of Apulia worldwide with care and special attention, finely balancing the elegance of electronics with the rich tradition of local dialects. This delicate equilibrium exists on the spectrum between experimentation and a dancefloor atmosphere.
The debut release of Cheema's new project is titled “Jis Matt,” a deep, Balearic-inspired House track characterized by an almost meditative atmosphere and a touch of disco. Renowned Italian producer 1979, known for his releases on fryhide or Kompakt, has crafted a fantastic chords-driven remix. This remix seamlessly transitions the original track from a laid-back beach scenario to an energetic club setting.

Called INSTANT fryhide, it will see one special, much talked about track get an instant release with no promo, premiers or press announcements in advance. There will be no schedule for releases and it will see music put out as fast as possible whenever there is a track that suits the concept. The first one comes from ARTBAT aka Ukrainian pair Artur and Batish. Says HOSH himself… "As you know fryhide comes from the German word 'Freiheit' meaning 'freedom'. With INSTANT fryhide we go a step further and really want to have this freedom of releasing whenever we feel like. Away from the classic way of releasing with long schedules and special timeframes and having to wait for the right b-side etc, we believe a strong track doesn't need that nowadays. As these tracks have already been tested on the road and social media probably did the rest… they are good to go immediately." This new INSTANT project is about one moment, one strong track, no remixes, no compromises and no nonsense. This first release is a strong one and marks the start of an exciting and innovative new way of releasing music.

The main intention of this edit series is to expand music culture approaching this world music and folklore to another styles where they can be introduced in dj sets and get discovered by new audiences. For catalogue number 19, Radikon proudly welcomes Lexer hailing from Leipzig, Germany. ‘Signs of a Swarm’ features two powerfully stripped-down originals and an anthemic remix by Italy’s 1979.

The title track ‘Signs of a Swarm’ is an energetic groover that is also deceptively minimal. A mesmerizing arpeggio sets the scene for beautifully engineered, pitch-shifting stabs to create a truly unique melodic soundscape. Lexer impressively shows that just a few well placed elements are able to create a fascinating soundscape and a true dancefloor killer.
