'Nightcolours turn to Belgian talent Naethan for their 60th release and he delivers 3 tasty new originals packed full of crunchy synths, moody atmospherics and mysterious melodies. Not only that but Nightcolours have brought the amazing Jepe in for remix duties to round off the EP.

Kicking things off is title track Isolated Species, it’s an atmospheric affair built on metallic synths and driving bass that builds towards it’s mystic melodies. 

Taking on remix duties of Isolated Species is Jepe who brings a touch of Berlin class to proceedings. The rework is heavy on atmosphere and groove, twisting and turning effortlessly through the gears before the originals melodies drop into earshot. 

Next up is The Distance Between Us, this one makes full use of Naethan’s gorgeous melodies and couples it with an infectious groove that never loses it’s energy.

Closing things out is Dissonant a majestic, ethereal workout. A stunner to wrap things up.'

As another year slowly passes by we would like to take a moment to step back and thank all of you who have been supporting our beloved ‘Radikon’ over the course of the last years. 2022 has been kind to us and our artists, we worked together with emerging talents, longtime friends as well as former idols who now are part of our constantly growing ménage. We’re fully motivated and optimistic to expand this project of ours to new heights in ’23!

What else is there to say when we can show our gratitude in form of our upcoming annually Reto compilation. We curated the finest of the finest for your year’s end listening pleasures. Jonas Saalbach opens up this round with a trancy hymn featuring the ever glowing voice of SANDHAUS, followed by Arude’s spotless Yinning and Yanning between hard grooves versus carefully placed melody patterns. Munich’s Yubik delivers another melancholic masterpiece together with Mark Hoffen, escorted by the man Guzy himself who plays the Klaviatur of wide range noisy leads in a flawless dancefloor sharpshooter. Naeiiv states a confession of a ‘Blank Mind’ with a track loaded with big room arps and warm pad structure. 2022’s Reto conclusion is delivered by Tantum with a classic rave machine that will keep floors vibing long after midnight.

Hot on the heels of his acclaimed debut EP released a few months ago on the label, Barcelona-based producer Gespona reemerges on Stil vor Talent with his eagerly-anticipated followup, "Magota". Comprising four tracks that move the cursor from stealth bass percolation to exotica-fuelled swagger, via injections of tendinous hip-hop-laced prog and heavily processed machine funk, this sophomore incursion from the Spanish talent does way better than simply keeping its promises: it opens on dimensions that were hinted at, but yet to unfold on Gespona's previous efforts. 

Lead-single "Magota" fractures its way in through a well-balanced blend of powerhouse subs and brittle piano chords. Remaining subtle in his approach, keen to explore further that grey area between neo-classical mellifluousness and proper club-focused firepower, Gespona treats us to a masterly orchestrated slice of poignant electronics, culminating through a prismatic climax of heart-broken synth swashes and finessed clavier expression. More of a functional DJ tool, "Umbra" heads straight for the jugular with its sweatbox-ready bass attacks, Egyptian-like melody and ominous buildup, tailored for nothing else but flinging the dance floor into a state of never-ending euphoria.  

Joining forces with Abuk on the breaksy, old-school house-inspired "Stat Out There", Gespona fires off yet another perfectly integrated mix of forward-moving dynamics and Chicagoan soulfulness. Riddled with melancholic keys and Abuk's haunting vocals, the track cuts a path truly its own, slacklining adroitly between classic piano house sensuality and a hi-intensity electro punch. Capping it all proper EBM-style, the aptly-titled "Jigsaw" featuring Althoff is what you'd call a hard-churning workout, progressively evolving from a rather straightforward momentum onto jagged 4x4 mechanisms to floor-devastating effect. Superior focus and execution from a producer who's undeniably on the cusp of even greater things.

'The third release of 2023 comes from the label’s friend and somewhat resident His. Creator. Who will be doing his second EP. The EP is titled ‘Blackout’ and contains two unique melodic techno tracks, injected with some electro elements. Also, the label is very happy to welcome Darse with a heavy-hitting remix of the title track.

The EP starts off with the title track ‘Blackout’ and as mentioned before it’s quite a special one, because it’s hard to label it to a genre. Immediately the track begins with a heavy kick, which gets accompanied by multiple raw and electro-influenced elements. Throughout the arrangement more layers unfold, creating a regulated chaos. 

In his remix Darse stripped back the original and took a few of the impressive raw elements and the vocal chords of the original. An outstanding organic and straight forward kick gets introduced from the beginning, around which a specious play of percussion, hats and sharp basses takes place. All this builds towards the second part of the remix, where the purpose becomes clear while other elements of the original are getting introduced.

‘Overdrive’ brings the EP to an energetic end. The driving and ongoing arp can be seen as the motor of the track, which get accompanied by quite a tiny kick with below a pounding sub bass. During the break a new panned synth comes forward, giving the track an extra dimension, after which it goes back in its hypnotic rhythm with more surprises to come.'

Radikon is the term for 'roots' in Esperanto, an international language that sought to bring people together. We share this vision, using art and music in lieu of language. Radikon is a group of like-minded artists that came together to release records that are more than music, each with its own individual soul and lifeblood.
