Civil society groups have welcomed the Gauteng High High Court’s request to the National Conventional Arms Control Committee (NCACC) to end delays in the review application related to permits allowing weapons exports to Saudi Arabian and the UAE. It comes amid the backdrop of Saudi relentlessly waging war on Yemen, killing innocent people. Saudi Arabia and the UAE have been equipped with weapons from major exporting countries, including South Africa, to continue its barrage of attacks.
