As many of you know, the pandemic hit just before our 9-year anniversary celebration in March of last year. We're still here and waiting patiently for that moment when we can dance together again in person. In the meantime, this month marks the 10 year anniversary of Ron Like Hell & Ryan Smith kicking off Wrecked. We didn't want to pass on the opportunity to celebrate all the good times had with each other over the years. On March 20th - which also happens to be the Spring Equinox - we took over The Lot Radio for a 4 hour livestream. This mix is here for you. When Vicki asked me to make this Deep South mix I began by thinking a lot about what she has created for us; the dance floors, the dark rooms, the music, the community.  For me, coming back into post-lockdown party spaces has exposed my own insecurities and feelings of uncertainty. A newly experienced lack of confidence, negative social comparison, and self-doubt is something that many of us have been experiencing. You are not alone if you are having these feelings, so talk about what you are going through with your chosen family; honesty and vulnerability is healing. 

My message is you will always find love and community on the dance floor (do yourself a favour and check the dark room too). Find the love for yourself first, feel the love of the music, share your love with the new cuties, but most importantly reaffirm your love for your friends. We won’t have these moments forever so savour them.
