"We are inviting Parisian micro-record label, purveyor of ultra-limited dubplates, proprietor of the amazing Dubpulse show on @egrego.re and good friend mains_courantes, to take the reins.

Expect a dystopian sound collage where primitive dub damage meets euphoric post-Kosmische hypnotic beauty. Fully embracing both analogue and digital sources and samples, worlds meld together through plunderphonics and musique concrète. Primal rhythms cut through with beams of massively potent cyber/synth destruction, brain-bombing automated steel-tone pulses and a heavy smear of sub-tropical ambience. A love letter to maximal minimalism.

Today, we celebrate our 70th episode on @subcityradio by welcoming our ninth guest mix selection - this time from New York based rare music enthusiasts Ultravillage (https://ultravillage.com).

Ultravillage are a collective and burgeoning community of new age music devotees, private press fanatics and underground ambient, minimal and progressive electronic aficionados.

Their guest mix, assembles music primarily collected from the US minimal and new age cassette tape underground of the 1980s. The sounds within reveal the dreams of utopia and rebirth that connect esoteric spiritualism; breakaway sects, backyard gnosis, stolen light, the mutable plasma of synthesised sound, new mediations meeting emergent technology. 

A switchboard for the psyche: plug in, tune up, drone on. Your body stays in the armchair, time dissolves, the mind wanders a thousand miles in every dimension. An apt (and rapt) trope for the act of listening itself.
