"Se redécouvrir, Découvrir" 

Nies is the musical project of Denise Pakes.
Originally from the Netherlands, with Moluccan roots, she moves between Amsterdam, Paris, and Berlin — constantly in motion, exploring sound, engaging in audiovisual collaborations, and participating in culturally driven events.

After studying "Image & Sound" at the Academy of Arts & Conservatory in The Hague, she dove into the audiovisual world, working across various media: video, photography, music… She founded her own label and agency, started mixing, composing, and producing her own visuals. She recently graduated with a Master's in "Musical Creation & Sound Arts" from INA GRM in Paris.

Since discovering synthesizers, music creation has become one of her main sources of joy. Her world: warm soundscapes, strange textures, subtle atmospheres, and deep bass. Whether as a composer or a sound artist, her intent remains the same: to take listeners on a journey, stretch time, and bend space into pure harmony.

Nies est le projet musical de Denise Pakes. Originaire des Pays-Bas, avec des racines Moluquoises, elle navigue entre Amsterdam, Paris et Berlin, toujours en mouvement entre explorations sonores, collaborations audiovisuelles et événements à portée culturelle.



Après des études en « Image & Son » à l'Académie des Arts & Conservatoire de La Haye, elle plonge dans l'univers audiovisuel en multipliant les supports : vidéo, photo, musique… Elle crée son propre label et agence, se met à mixer, composer et produire ses propres visuels. Elle vient d'être diplômée du master « Création Musicale & Arts Sonores » à l'INA GRM à Paris.



Depuis qu'elle a rencontré les synthétiseurs, la création musicale est devenue une de ses principales sources de joie. Son univers : des nappes chaudes, des textures étranges, des ambiances subtiles et des basses profondes. Que ce soit en tant que compositrice ou artiste sonore, son intention reste la même : faire voyager les auditeurs, étirer le temps et pincer l'espace dans une pure harmonie.

Pango Record Show - June - Nies

Mathilde Rocaboy, DJ, productrice et collectionneuse de vinyles parisienne, explore deux facettes : des mixes très atmosphériques, riches en textures et sonorités variées, et un versant club assumé, entre techno mentale et breakbeat. Co-fondatrice du label Pango Records avec Sioul (avec qui elle forme aussi le duo Sumu, produisant ensemble), elle est également à l’origine du Pango Records Show sur Radio Poush, une émission dédiée aux musiques ambient et down-tempo qui offre un véritable espace d’expression libre aux invité·e·s.

Nies is the creative alias of Denise Pakes. Originally from the Netherlands with Moluccan roots, Denise can be found juggling between Paris and Berlin, engaged continuously in musical exploration, audio-visual collaborations with like-minded artists, and organizing events with cultural activation in mind.

After studying ‘Image & Sound’ in the Art Academy & Conservatory of The Hague, Denise became increasingly interested in the ever-expanding audio-visual universe and its peculiarities. Persistently curious and relentlessly passionate in video, photography, and music, she found the natural outlets for her artistic expression, which led her to create her label and agency, explore the art of DJing, and produce both video and music. She recently graduated from a master study "Création Musicale & Arts Sonores" at INA GRM.

Since falling in love with synthesizers a few years ago, music creation is now one of her main creative outputs and an infinite source for inspiration and joy. Warm soundscapes, strange textures, subtle atmospheres, and broad bass lines — her musical intentions either as a DJ or as a music producer are clear: to excite the listeners through an excellent curation of tracks, flowing organically, stretching time and bending space in pure harmony.
