"I had planned to do 'Ten Deadly Versions' for this, but as it turned out, it was a sunny day, and the militant dubs just weren't hitting right. So, I started playing some boogie instrumentals but kept the Benidub in action. It's all pretty loose, with minimal mixing and maximal dubbing, and recorded all from vinyl. Bit of a shame I couldn't use the Depthcharge pun, so it's going to have to be Ten Boogie Dubs".

Lil old me played at Nachti this year (2023) & they gave me 3 hours at their ambient stage! 
This is by far the most personal set I've ever played and I have never been this nervous in preparation. For me playing ambient means opening myself and making myself vulnerable to the outside world because everything I like to listen to and get comfy to is wrapped up in a sequence that I hope makes sense to more people than myself. 
And yet - what freaks me out the most - this is probably the one set, everyone keeps chatting me up about. Thanks for seeing me and what I did here. You all seem to be as bazoinga in the brain as me <3 
I always wanted to dedicate something to someone in the www so here we go: This is dedicated to my younger self, the persian woman inside of me, my girlies (thx for sitting on that couch with me & joking your way through life with me) & everyone who feels something while listening to this. I appreciate you all.  Merci azizamis <3 

First 35 mins are persian classical music
Following 15 minutes are medieval bardcore retakes ( you guys love that shit apparently)
Remaining 2 hours n 10 minutes is just stuff I love and I connect with the people I love and myself.

In her sets ranging from gentle ambient to sweaty bass, she selects rare songs and recordings, dear to her heart, which she interweaves in order to form unusual mixes. A true enthusiast for leftfield, joyful, spiritual and life-giving music from any corner of the globe, from 50s waltzing doo-wop to 60s psychedelic folk, 70s dub & reggae, 80s disco & bollywood or 90s acid house. Marina is also creative director of award-winning multi-arts & ideas festival Brainchild, and a producer at London’s Southbank Centre. 

"This is a little journey through some treasures and delights from the 1960s/70s exotica, psychedelic folk, library, soundtrack and surf sound-worlds I’ve taken refuge in in the past few months. I am big into where these sounds crossover, from folk to psych or cumbia, slide guitar or atmospheric cinema… Especially where music from this in the 20th century imagines and interprets the musicality of other countries with a kind of dreamlike wonder that could never happen now.

French but living in Seoul for over ten years, Timothée has long been somewhat of an enigma in the scene's fast, trance-tinged wilderness, releasing a stretch of understated 12"s, using different aliases (Prophecy 47, Dj Jacuzziy..) When he's not making or spinning records, you'll find the Ring Club resident selling them behind the counter at Junction, the excellent store he owns in Seoul which has also recently begun life as a label, Junction Forest. 

Known for impeccable mixing technique and taste, both shine bright during this 80-minute dive into his bag. Strap in and get ready for his Dimensions debut this summer.

For her first podcast, my close friend Lucie puts together a downtempo mix that moves through ambient textures, deep rhythms, and hypnotic beats. Blending ethereal sounds with subtle transitions, the set drifts between moody atmospheres and pulsing energy, creating a hazy, dreamlike journey.

Hey! Number 66 is already here!

Having just landed from the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, this month’s 10TRAX is signed by our friend based in New York, Christopher Briseño.

Chris dropped by the Relativa studio earlier this year, profiting from the visit that he was paying to another of our main collaborators, Landon.

The mix tries to recreate the radio shows that his father used to play while they were travelling by car during the early 90s. In it, you can find songs with serene harmonies with ambient, chill out or downtempo vibes, and surrounded by a crispy sound similar to a cassette damaged by the trace of time. 

Chris speaks:
"My name is Christopher Briseño and I currently live in New York. I made this mix trying to recreate the radio shows my father used to play in his old Volvo during the early 90s. My father’s affinity for Smooth Jazz and Chill Out and my mother’s love for Souls and R&B have always been very influential for my musical taste. I hope that I will be able to show my children as much good music as my parents did with me.
Besides music, I am passionate about basketball. I run an Instagram account called “Ball Is Being” where I share and develop content about basketball, from an artistic and cultural perspective (more precisely art and black culture). You can follow @ball_is_being if you want to learn more about it".
