In the deep silence of an old house, water began to speak.

It started as a whisper—one drop from the kitchen tap, falling into a steel sink with a hollow plink. Then another. And another. There was no rush, no urgency. Just rhythm. Timeless. Patient.

This was the systematic drip, the noise which would echo through the chamber all night long.

It had been raining for days. The roof, patched but never properly fixed, had finally surrendered.

Kulture Galerie are back with a new release from the highly regarded New York based producer Alien D. This one is a bit more detailed, structured and refined than some of his previous which has often focussed a little more so on the looser, dustier fringes of house music. This time things get expansive.

Eupen's multi-dimensional platform, festival and record label @meakusma return with "New Chapter", a 9-track vinyl release from Cologne-based artist Viola Klein. The record expands on material drawn from Klein’s 2024 release "Confidant" and her collaboration with the Sabar Ensemble Diop from Saint-Louis, Senegal.

Our pick from the release is "Kassem Mosse’s Snooze Mix" - a silky smooth, low-slung house excursion stretching over eleven minutes. The track pulses with Kassem Mosse’s signature beat architecture, tinged with that touch of uncanny beauty that makes his work so distinctive. A mesmerising groove, crisp rim-shots and tapping hi-hats intertwine to form a hypnotic slow burner for the deep-house heads.

Paradisia Vol. XIII is the sixth compilation published by Gang of Ducks Records, curated by XIII, Alessio Capovilla, cofounder of the label.
Twenty unreleased tracks navigating fractured terrain where genres collide and dissolve.
