"Cairo Knife Fight aka Nick Gaffaney and Aaron Tokona can normally be found playing in front of huge audiences thanks to high profile support slots with the likes of Queens Of The Stone Age, Foo Fighters and Them Crooked Vultures, to name just a few. But now they really want to see the whites of your eyes.
The band are best known for their abrasive sonic assaults - Gaffaney multitasks on drums, loops, keyboard and vocals, while Tokona punishes his guitar to create all manner of limitless guitar soundscapes and incendiary riffs. Their live performances are infamous for their unpredictability and sheer aural mayhem, helped in no small part by the complementary nature of Gaffaney and Tokona's personalities. These oppositional forces help to give Cairo Knife Fight their enviable musical dynamism.
