He watched from his balcony, gazing as the water moved slowly inwards as the sun set in the distance. It were as if the world had fallen asleep, there was nothing but the sound of the woods and the trees around him as he gazed out upon the shimmering ocean. 

The tides under the moonlight were a beautiful thing - they operated under their own timeline, moving in and out in line with the circadian rhythms of a chaotic world. Yet still, they resembled peace. 

He retired to bed, dreaming of the world beyond the window. 

Sam Goku is set to release a new EP on Dekmantel, it is a tour de force of a record demonstrating a deep knowledge of ethereal dance music as he balances the sensibilities of Trance and Techno with careful precision.

PREMIERE: Sam Goku - Tides Under The Moonlight [Dekmantel]

Astral travel with Cybotron into the meta-narrative of the Parallel Shift, a new sonic fiction that raises many questions about military science of the near-future and the possibility of other worlds. 

Descending backward through the rhythms of time, the Skynet module retracts from the hyper-structural society of 2100, edging toward the mid-century modern age teetering on the brink of what was then the frontier of “the future”. The system boots the Infiniti process, morphing into a cosmotechnic vessel coursing the superhighway of burgeoning general intelligence, seeking data from just before “the overshoot and collapse.” 

R&D methods, rhythmanalytically applied, dissect the aftermath of an industrial society that burst through the ecological capacity of Spaceship Earth. Fractal visions of war and innovation spike and recede from and into the surfaces of reality being bent and guiding the eyes, ears, touch towards a laboratory in the year 1961. A nuclear expert, Don Lewis, receives orders to decrypt the mysterious black dodecagonal disc known as Fortec and the extraterrestrial biology unearthed in Roswell. He joins a team disassembling Fortec and studying the recurrent dodecahedral patterns linked to the human nervous system. 

Through dismantling and probing, the team cycles through a saecular search devoid of finite conclusions, limited by Earth’s intellectual and technological prowess. One 1960s night, Lewis, while meddling with Fortec’s cyborganic innards, accidentally electrifies himself. His cyclotron and missile experience guides him to circuit-bend Fortec, stirring the entity from a mechanical slumber. Lewis and Fortec communicate in resonances, until it drifts back into a tranquil stasis. 

The US Defense and contractors, unbeknownst to them, observe this breakthrough. They later permit Lewis to exit military service as the Air Force forms the Foreign Technology Division. Concurrently, MJ12 evolves into CY12, delving into second-order cybernetics. Lewis clandestinely keeps working on Fortec fragments, transitioning from military engineer to musician, pioneering the LEO module, a fusion of Fortec’s essence and audio engineering. 

He shares his insights with Roland founder Ikutaro Kakehashi, aiding the creation of the iconic TR-808. Meanwhile, Fortec branches out, coining “Cyberspace” – a collective illusion of liberty unshackled by physical, political, or spiritual bounds, anchored in the equitable distribution of The Golden Ratio across realities. Yet “Cyberspace” morphs into a chaotic truth reservoir, spilling over into deception. 

The Parallel Shift manifests in the perpetual “Now,” a collapsed event horizon where past and future are ensnared in a relentless present, unfurling along a dissolving timeline, overseen by a monolithic simulation under ceaseless watch…

VSION 02 is the soundtrack to when the club's heartbeat matches yours; the first sip of water while cavernous drums engulf you. Kasra V’s latest offering appeals to the glory days of the tribal side of 90s electronic music: sacred rhythms that echo influences from NYC clubs of past times and the freaky side of abstract dance music, while still retaining a unique flavor from his creative V-sion.

Drawing a direct line from the shadowy corners of late 90s club culture to the avant garde, Kasra’s world building is on full display, calling to mind both the full-bodied spirit of Victor Calderone’s primal grooves and the voodoo beats of Exquisite Corpse.

His most dancefloor oriented work to date, Kasra infused the energy of spontaneous jams into refined and layered sonic alchemy, utilizing vintage gear and pedals to evoke spiritually timeless flavors.

The record is artistically represented by a Pierrot-esque visual, a perfect symbol for the playful psychedelia that is still entrenched in a hedonistic flair.

Celebrating not just Ryan Elliott’s faith in a vital new generation of producers and DJs, but five years of his own meticulously curated Faith Beat imprint, ‘Have Faith’ is a bold new chapter for the Panorama Bar veteran. Before relocating to Berlin, Elliott cut his teeth spinning Detroit, so he pays it forward on this 34-track compilation, shining a dazzling spotlight on the local scenes and breaking new artists that promise to keep American dance music moving as it lurches towards a new era. When he was based in the US, Elliott realized how distant Europe felt for homegrown artists – not just philosophically, but physically. Two years ago, he set about excavating the US’s underground architecture, pooling contacts and tracks, and urging his wide network of friends to send over their best recommendations. The compilation coalesced organically, and pulls together a diverse canon of producers, offering them the global exposure they urgently need. Eighty percent of the tracks are from up-and-coming US-based artists from the Midwest and beyond, so with the 10th release on his label, Elliott lays down a glimpse of a possible future of underground house and techno that counters the scene’s contemporary Eurocentricity. Following last years debut on Especial, Alphonse returns with a stand out dance floor bomb of an EP from afro-dub-house to basement breaks, backed by imperious remixes from rising stars The Pilotwings and DJ Normal 4.  

While the techno-breaks-poem Same For Me came with its own soliloquy of life and the transcendental mediations of dance, head-scratching and indifference ensued as the EP, backed with Junior Fairplay's monstrous-amen remix, slipped by all but the most 'switched on' heads - thanks Zaltan!

Now back, but still keeping to the shadows, with more sound system shaking cuts via the afro leaning Smokey and breaks pump of Glint AM. Smokey is a true heir to a unique British take on House. Congas, bongos, kick, dub bass lines and chants riding twisted fx - a true Warriors Dance.  

Next Glint AM takes things back. Skipping hats atop an 808 throb before Detroit inspired strings and Akai vocals await a Mayday bass to lift hands and hearts. This is no pastiche but born of life's love and experience, of misty mornings, standing on beaten up trucks, arms a lot, higher and higher.

Time then to hand remixing duties to rising brothers from other mothers. The Pilotwings retake of Smokey shows a crew at the height of their powers, stripping the beats back to allow time and space to ascend - letting it all float away. Things are closed by "one to watch" DJ Normal 4. An old head at heart, member of Cologne's Aiwo Records and name to check, his deeper take on Glint AM includes a nod to the atmospherics of Biosphere and Leiner while keeping things, always, always, always...looking to the future.
