Two decks and a teenage homemade mixer – who would have thought a school project would launch the career of the fast-rising DJ/producer John Dimas!

Drawn to the sounds of Chicago, Acid and French House, he started collecting records from the likes of Derrick Carter, Chez Damier, Ron Trent and David Duriez, before honing his skills as a DJ in his native Thessaloniki. Quickly gaining a reputation for his unique sets using three turntables and his ear for digging out a hot, rare track, naturally the international club invites followed… Le Nuit Sonore Lyon, The Rainbow Birmingham, Watergate, Katerholzig , Chalet and Tresor in his new home of Berlin.

Moving into the studio, 2008 saw his first release as duo Actor One but more recently he has been focusing on his solo productions. Conjuring up solid house basslines with tech around the edges, Dimas also loves editing to bring surprise to his sets and a few have made it onto white label. Playing live is another form of experimentation with his sets, getting creative with his own tracks to play them in a way never played before.

With EP’s on Bass Culture, Claap, Dame Music and One Records, Dimas kicked off 2013 with his debut LP. Released on La Vie En Rose, John Dimas proves he is very much part of an up-and-coming generation, pushing through with a new avant-garde house sound.

@Pandhora is the electronic music project of musicians AmineAmara and Rémi Forsan. Since embarking on their music production journey in 2015, they have been shaping their own psychedelic & progressive sound signature. Highly inspired by various sub-genres of rock and electronic music, their productions also contain a subtle organic touch. These influences collide in their studio, where the emphasis is put on sound exploration.In late 2018, strengthened by 3 years of creation, they started touring their live act ‘Deep Psychedelia’, a musical adventure inspired by the four elements of nature. Ranging from electronica to upbeat progressive house, their music tells a story of intriguing soundscapes. Combining mesmerizing guitar & keyboard improvisations, the musicians aim at guiding the audience delicately through hypnotic music spaces. As the story unveils, earth, water, fire & wind turn into music to create an ever-changing poetic tale.Throughout 2020, they will be working on their first full-length album, exploring various song formats & styles. They will be blending organic and electronic sounds as well as experimenting with their own vocals in an effort to craft an electronica-infused psychedelic record.

It is with great pride and gratification we announce that Triptease is joining our roster.   In order to celebrate the occasion we decided to put out their recording from Perfect Sundays x Yoyaku night at Hoppetosse last December.

Triptease is a cutting edge musical experiment performed by Topper, Jacopo, Francesco and Hugo, conceived in Turin and then transplanted in Berlin in the mid 2000s. Triptease live is a vision born on one of those inspired morning hours, opening up new ways of looking at the world. 

The idea behind their live performance stands for the best traditions of electronic music itself. They blend together polyrhythmic grooves and harmonic atmospheres in an uninterrupted flow of sound layers. Their live performance recreates the dynamics of studio improvisation where synths, guitars, samplers and drum machines interweave together endlessly.

Triptease performed live at iconic venues such as Club der Visionaere and Hoppetosse in Berlin, Fuse in Brussels, Mutabor in Moscow, Studio 338 and Red Gallery in London amongst others delivering hours of everchanging beats and sparkling musical ideas.

Many musicians and producers - to name a few Claudio Puntin, Cesar Merveille, Yonatan Levi, Greg Paulus, Ion Ludwig, Samuel Roher and Daniele Papini -  have joined their improv project through the years and contributed to the experimentation.

From this perspective, their live set crosses over between music and technology, with its power to form networks and scenes that are a catalyst for creation and transformation in the form of live and studio performances.

Their debut album “Mescaleros” will be out on Visionquest in 2020.
