Phonk D is always up for musical collaborations and over time some have accumulated on the hard drive. It’s a logical conclusion to make a collection out of it and here we present the first part.

On “Connie” Phonk D joins forces with Lukas Lehmann who is a familiar face on Footjob already.
A percussive sample stomper with subtle vocal chops for groovy dance nights, perfect to switch from warmup to peaktime.

“Tribute To Miami” is a collaboration with Frankfurt's Le Rubrique, who has also made an appearance on Footjob with his Flying Circus collabo EP already. Old synths were dusted to create a typical 90s oldschool house vibe. During their session they noticed that it sounds strongly like Murk so they added atmospheric vocals to pay even more tribute to the classic Miami label.

The third track “On The Edge” presents a driving house bumper which features Darmstadt's finest bass player Grégoire Pignède from the highly talented jazz formation Triorität. Deep organ chords and atmospheric synths meet a floating bassline – what else do you need?

Blur Records returns to present the new EP of German producer Okofunk who teamed up with vocalist Morris Revy to present his new EP entitled "Don't Matter" featuring two stellar remixes by the producers T.Markakis and Manuel Kane.

The EP opens with the original title track "Don't Matter", a beautiful blend of Okofunk's signature groovy beats and Morri Revy's soulful vocals. The track features a deep and rhythmic bassline, accompanied by a dreamy saxophone and intricate percussive elements, creating an immersive and uplifting atmosphere.

T.Markakis takes on the first remix of "Don't Matter" and transforms the track into a dancefloor banger. With his trademark sound, T.Markakis infuses the remix with pumping beats, a driving bassline, and funky synths, making it into a perfect deep house anthem.

The second remix of "Don't Matter" comes from Manuel Kane, who delivers a groovy interpretation of the original track, featuring smooth and jazzy chords, a laid-back groove, and Morris Revy's vocals sitting perfectly in the mix, making it a perfect track for those early morning sunrise sets.

Overall, "Don't Matter EP" showcases the impressive collaboration between Okofunk and Morris Revy, with T.Markakis and Manuel Kane delivering two exceptional remixes that will undoubtedly delight house music enthusiasts and DJs alike.

Kiu D joins Feedasoul Records with a beautiful three-tracker. In 'Have You', the Italian-born and raised artist highlights his broad musical influences in a stunning release. Kiu D comes from a background of Drum n Bass, House, Broken Beat and Nujazz. His Dub influences are clearly felt in 'Capture' where a heavy bassline takes centre-stage around a 4/4 rhythm section and spacey keys. The EP title track keeps the momentum going with a deeper, driving rhythm, atmospheric pads, and soulful vocal chops that are drenched in reverb for a wider soundscape. Percussion elements interlace with the beautifully-balanced track for that extra bit of movement. 'Last Dream' focuses on Kiu D's more soulful approach to Deep House through driving drums, a heavy rolling bassline, and keys and percussion elements rooted in Soul.

RADIO ELECTRONICA was one of the first independent radio programmes to go on air in Jena in 1999. The background was to bring colour into the dreary Thuringian radio programme and to create a platform where regional and national artists from the electronic music scene could present themselves and exchange ideas. RADIO ELECTRONICA claims to be always on the trail of new influences, trends and artists in the field of electronic music.

The show quickly developed from the first pre-productions to a live broadcast, which can be heard every four weeks on Saturdays from 7pm to midnight on the open channel Jena on UKW 103.4 Mhz and via online stream (https://radio-okj.de/wp-content/themes/radiookj/okj-player.html).

With a steadily growing fan base, RADIO ELECTRONICA is still a firm institution in the field of electronic music in Jena and beyond the city limits. Besides the latest scene trends and record presentations, studio guests are a big part of the show.
