Known as a fervent defender of raw and authentic house music, Harrington brings influences straight from Chicago and New York, his music being largely inspired by the pioneers of the movement, such as Frankie Knuckles, Kerri Chandler and Larry Heard to name a few.

Having first come to our attention with his debut EP at Delve Deeper a few years ago, he has since then delivered a flurry of releases on labels such as DOBRO, Mole Music and his most recent "Too Late To Dream" EP released at Shades Of Sound Recordings.

New York disco punk coming in hot! Born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida we're delighted to welcome artist Jonathan Tyler Paul aka Ethical Drift aboard The Disco Express.

Inspired by Talking Heads and LCD Soundsystem, Ethical Drift fuses jazz with modern disco, punk and house vibes. Pushing the limits of live and recorded music, Ethical Drift is known for high energy, eclectic performances that move the bounds of Indie Disco and House Music.

"I always loved Indie bands that rode the line of Disco, House, or Jazz adjacent. I’m trying to reflect that with a certain style that is both preppy and punk tinged across the entire Ethical Drift entity." he says with a cheeky grin.

The incredibly unique Nightlife In NYC EP is a mark of Ethical Drift's quality. Its brilliantly irreverent attitude and genre-bending crossover of styles are a testament to his creativity as a bourgeoning artist.

Sowing together the EP is Parisian house producer Larry G. His piano heavy bass bouncing remix is the perfect union of New York Indie Disco and French Touch.

A fashion model for the likes of Vogue Italy, Alexander Wang and many more, JP has also been integral to bands like Basic Vacation who released on Capitol Records and Troy Carter’s Atom Factory Music. A former member of The Nectars, JP was part of two fiery European tours that became fabled in the NYC third-wave post punk scene.

One of the best vocal anthems of recent times deservedly gets a clutch of very slick remixes here on Refuge Records from some very hot names. Tripmastaz do their bouncy '90s house rawness thing across two chunky remixes full of ravey stabs, woozy chord stabs, acid licks and phat bass. Scottish upstart Tiptoes continues his amazing run of form with a remix that harks back to golden age of soulful, propulsive UK garage, and Mr. Pitiful rounds off with soothingly beautiful jazz piano solos lacing his wonderfully deep Detroit-flavoured version.

Raised on New York dance-floors, Jon’s sound is heavily inspired
by the classic sounds of U.S. House and Deep House music. With a list of reputable club experiences and original productions supported by internationally touring acts, Jon’s career spans over thirteen years.

As a DJ, Jon started in New York, having held a three-year residency at the West Village underground hub, Le Souk. Each week Jon played alongside some of the city’s best homegrown talent like Todd Terryand DJ Dove. Over the last decade, Jon has continued to play in events across the U.S. and Europe, including the Amsterdam Dance Event, Sisyphis (Berlin), Elsewhere (NYC), and Flash (Washington DC); opening up the floor or closing the night for headliners like Doc Martin, Mateo & Matos, and Cinthie.

As a producer, Jon has released a handful of EPs, singles and remixeson various labels around the world. His most recent release is an EPtitled ‘Believe’ on Spanish label theBasement Discos, both tracks have been supported by notable names like Brian Tappert and ManyFew, as well as being featured on the Toolroom Records Radioshow. Jon’s prior productions have beensupported by Kerri Chandler, Riva Starr, and Josh Butler. His 2018 release ‘Down’ was featured on the Defected
Radio Show, hosted by Sam Divine. 

With multiple new releases due out this year, Jon’s success and 
experience both in the studio and on the decks, keep him an in 
demand name by labels and DJs alike. Currently Jon resides in San Diego, California, USA and is available for bookings and remixes.

RADIO ELECTRONICA was one of the first independent radio programmes to go on air in Jena in 1999. The background was to bring colour into the dreary Thuringian radio programme and to create a platform where regional and national artists from the electronic music scene could present themselves and exchange ideas. RADIO ELECTRONICA claims to be always on the trail of new influences, trends and artists in the field of electronic music.

The show quickly developed from the first pre-productions to a live broadcast, which can be heard every four weeks on Saturdays from 7pm to midnight on the open channel Jena on UKW 103.4 Mhz and via online stream (https://radio-okj.de/wp-content/themes/radiookj/okj-player.html).

With a steadily growing fan base, RADIO ELECTRONICA is still a firm institution in the field of electronic music in Jena and beyond the city limits. Besides the latest scene trends and record presentations, studio guests are a big part of the show.
