Martin Schmieger Aka Reiner Von Vielen had already recorded all DJ sets on the radio in the mid-nineties. At that time he supplied his classmates with a double cassette deck and developed his first feeling for digging music. In 2001, he came into contact with OKJ Jena for the first time. A first love for radio developed, which was to last for another two years. After that, he started leaving half of his fortune in record shops and quickly reached thousands of records. In 2007, all the hustle and bustle had become too much for him and he disappeared from the Jena scene again for the time being. In 2011, he made his glorious comeback as a radio presenter and the Herzklopfen Radio programme in OKJ was born. Every 4th Friday of the month, the crème de la crème of the Jena house and techno scene came to his studio. In January 2016, the station was restructured and he was brought into the https://soundcloud.com/radioelectronicajena team by Nicola Candelaria. Today he is mainly responsible for booking, new introductions and the internationalisation of the Radio Electronica brand. Since the beginning of 2021 he has been doing the booking for the Blur Podcast and supports his friend  https://soundcloud.com/fredastermusic from https://soundcloud.com/blur-records in many label matters.

RADIO ELECTRONICA was one of the first independent radio programmes to go on air in Jena in 1999. The background was to bring colour into the dreary Thuringian radio programme and to create a platform where regional and national artists from the electronic music scene could present themselves and exchange ideas. RADIO ELECTRONICA claims to be always on the trail of new influences, trends and artists in the field of electronic music.

The show quickly developed from the first pre-productions to a live broadcast, which can be heard every four weeks on Saturdays from 7pm to midnight on the open channel Jena on UKW 103.4 Mhz and via online stream (https://radio-okj.de/wp-content/themes/radiookj/okj-player.html).

With a steadily growing fan base, RADIO ELECTRONICA is still a firm institution in the field of electronic music in Jena and beyond the city limits. Besides the latest scene trends and record presentations, studio guests are a big part of the show.
