The sometime SlothBoogie contributor has delivered a tidy and tasteful three-tracker just oozing with class. Check first 'Astrafunk',a warming 188 BPM loop jam that peppers a rolling, jazz-flecked house beat with boogie bass, kaleidoscopic synth doodles, warming chords and spacey motifs, before admiring the early St Germain style jazz-house classiness of 'Make It Real'. To round off a rock-solid EP, he lays down a suitably trippy, woozy and surprisingly loose-limbed chunk of dusty loop-house whose restless electric piano motifs and rumbling bassline are undeniably addictive

At the controls is Latvia's Will Sonic, whose work has previously appeared on the likes of Late Night Jackin', Sundries, Gents & Dandy's and Moodyhouse, and who now serves up two more prime slices of deep house goodness for your dancing pleasure. 'Fugazi' is a late-night kinda cut with a pleasing garage-y bump that makes it the pick for this reviewer, but the accompanying 'Right Vibe' is no slouch either, with a hypnotic warping vocal and the kind of delicate keys that mean it wouldn't sound out of place on Madhouse.

fresh and solid as a genre. Fletch is undoubtedly one of these new breeds of house producers / DJs
garnering support from the likes of The Martinez Brothers, Loco Dice, Jaden, Luciano and Ricardo

Peggy Gou’s Gudu label announces the second edition of its Various Artists compilation series, Gudu & Friends Vol. 2.

First launched last year, Gudu & Friends Vol. 1 featured eight new tracks, from already-established label regulars (DMX Krew, Mogwaa, Hiver, Dukwa, Brian de Palma) and a trio of new faces (Closet Yi, Salamanda, Lady Blacktronika). In keeping with the international outlook and spirit that has always been at the forefront of Gudu, the compilation comprised artists from South Korea, Italy, the UK, USA, Korea and Ukraine.

Released on May 2, digitally and as a limited cassette edition, Gudu & Friends Vol. 2 features a batch of new faces to the label — Alinka, Gina Breeze, Jordan Nocturne (featuring Coco Cole), Minju and Nyra — alongside Hiver, Mogwaa, Dukwa and Matisa.

Each Gudu & Friends compilation will have artwork tied into the lunar new year. For Gudu & Friends Vol. 2, the art comes from illustrator Jin Young Choi (who also illustrates the Gudu Mix series) and reflects the year of the dragon.

RADIO ELECTRONICA was one of the first independent radio programmes to go on air in Jena in 1999. The background was to bring colour into the dreary Thuringian radio programme and to create a platform where regional and national artists from the electronic music scene could present themselves and exchange ideas. RADIO ELECTRONICA claims to be always on the trail of new influences, trends and artists in the field of electronic music.

The show quickly developed from the first pre-productions to a live broadcast, which can be heard every four weeks on Saturdays from 7pm to midnight on the open channel Jena on UKW 103.4 Mhz and via online stream (https://radio-okj.de/wp-content/themes/radiookj/okj-player.html).

With a steadily growing fan base, RADIO ELECTRONICA is still a firm institution in the field of electronic music in Jena and beyond the city limits. Besides the latest scene trends and record presentations, studio guests are a big part of the show.
