Founded in 2011 by Sean Dexter on Pure Radio Holland and is currently on Underground Kollektive Radio as a 3 hour show that has featured guests from around the world like Paul Johnson, James Curd, DJ Vivona, David Duriez, Jay Tripwire and many others. In 2020 BayAreaBeatbox Live was launched on Mixcloud doing live broadcasts and in 2021 BayAreaBeatbox live started a monthly residency on the legendary underground station Fantasy FM in the UK on the Last Sunday of the month from 6-9 pm PDT. Beatbox Records was Launched in 2016 featuring productions from Sean Dexter. Sean has been a dj, producer, remixer, party promoter and radio host for over 30 years. RADIO ELECTRONICA was one of the first independent radio programmes to go on air in Jena in 1999. The background was to bring colour into the dreary Thuringian radio programme and to create a platform where regional and national artists from the electronic music scene could present themselves and exchange ideas. RADIO ELECTRONICA claims to be always on the trail of new influences, trends and artists in the field of electronic music.

The show quickly developed from the first pre-productions to a live broadcast, which can be heard every four weeks on Saturdays from 7pm to midnight on the open channel Jena on UKW 103.4 Mhz and via online stream (https://radio-okj.de/wp-content/themes/radiookj/okj-player.html).

With a steadily growing fan base, RADIO ELECTRONICA is still a firm institution in the field of electronic music in Jena and beyond the city limits. Besides the latest scene trends and record presentations, studio guests are a big part of the show.
