RADIO ELECTRONICA was one of the first independent radio programmes to go on air in Jena in 1999. The background was to bring colour into the dreary Thuringian radio programme and to create a platform where regional and national artists from the electronic music scene could present themselves and exchange ideas. RADIO ELECTRONICA claims to be always on the trail of new influences, trends and artists in the field of electronic music.

The show quickly developed from the first pre-productions to a live broadcast, which can be heard every four weeks on Saturdays from 7pm to midnight on the open channel Jena on UKW 103.4 Mhz and via online stream (https://radio-okj.de/wp-content/themes/radiookj/okj-player.html).

With a steadily growing fan base, RADIO ELECTRONICA is still a firm institution in the field of electronic music in Jena and beyond the city limits. Besides the latest scene trends and record presentations, studio guests are a big part of the show.

Born in Paris to Ugandan parents, Mr Boogie grew up between France and West Africa before settling in the UK as a teenager. Having also spent some time in New York, Buenos Aires and Cuba, his unique upbringing coupled with his numerous global excursions have helped to shape his broad and eclectic musical tastes.

Besides holding down a selection of monthly DJ residencies, Mr Boogie hosts a music show named Melting Pot: www.mixcloud.com/meltingpot.

Mr Boogie also runs Soulsa ® Productions, a London-based music events promotion and management company which was established in 2005: www.soulsa.co.uk.

McKai Du Toit, professionally known as Kindred Music SA, hails from Johannesburg and currently resides in Cape Town. A dynamic artist, Kindred is a singer, songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer who experiments in multiple genres but best known for specializing in Deep-Electronic.

Kindred Music SA's musical journey started with acoustic instruments, mastering the piano and guitar. His sound is a rich tapestry influenced by rock, reggae, soul, jazz, and electronic music, reflecting a deep appreciation for diverse musical genres.

Since 2020, Kindred has been running @pocketfoodaudio , a record label and mix series dedicated to deep electronic music. He has a prolific output with multiple releases on various labels, showcasing his versatility and commitment to his craft.

Kindred has collaborated with notable artists such as @musa-malibe on the @deepstitched-1 label for the track "Glimpse Of Light" and with @bientami on @pocketfoodaudio for the track "Wanting You." In 2022, he formed a duo with @vicmarick known as @mythofficialwav , resulting in a well-acclaimed 10-track album titled "Mystery Project."

In 2021, Kindred was featured in A&R Factory Mag and Vents Mag for his album "Before You Dream." His music has also received international attention with radio interviews and mixes broadcasted on @beshknow (Iran), @radioelectronicajena (Germany), and @radioflouka (France).
