Hey fam it's ya boi G.ear, back for another episode of my resident show Exploring Dimensions where I go through the entire spectrum of the things I love to play ! In today's episode I wanted to put Dnb under the spotlight. It's a genre I'm very familiar with and I always loved to play it, I think it's the only genre I used to play for my first years of DJing and that I still play today so I hope you'll enjoy it ! I had so much fun diggin through some old playlist or playlists that I usually just listen to in my day to day life <3

María Manuela es una DJ/productora, artista y diseñadora de modas de Bogotá, Colombia. Su estilo musical abarca géneros como el funk brasileño, el club deconstruido, el dembow y la guaracha. Sin embargo, lo que la distingue de otros artistas es su fusión de estos ritmos con melodias o voces incónicas de la balada en español de los años 50s - 80s, y samples de divas pop de los años 2000.

Esta propuesta única ha cautivado a un público diverso, que disfruta de la energía de la música electrónica y la nostalgia del pop de antaño.

La artista comenzó a acercarse al mundo de la música desde pequeña, gracias a su familia. Sus hermanos mayores eran aficionados a los raves de la Bogotá "dosmilera". María Manuela comenzó a familiarizarse con géneros como el techno, el house, el trance y el eurodance. Desde allí empieza su exploración sonora, que entre un creciente nicho de talentos esencialmente masculinos, propne a su vez entrelazar y fortalecer una escena emergente de nuevas productoras a nivel nacional.
